A's first week was not great but she's doing amazing now! Happy when I pick her up and learning so much. She refused to learn her letters or read at all before school started. Every night now she asks to work on her letters and sight words.

Peyton is loving it. Today marks a week. She's a lot more tired now since before school she still napped 2+ hours a day. Other than that things are great. She's really loved seeing all her friends from pre-k again since she went to public pre-k that zones the same as all the schools. So she recognizes a lot of faces. Such an awesome set up! I got my first prenatal appointment set up for September 11th. Time is inching by and I'm tired of keeping it a secret.

What's your due date? So exciting!
April 22nd according to my opks, but generic due date calculators say April 24th. We will see which my doctors uses. 2 days isn't a huge deal.

Ruby is loving it! The only struggle is homework-She's a perfectionist and it makes homework take longer than it should. Also the car rider line is ridiculous. The baby cries the whole time we are waiting in line and there's not much I can do about it. She can ride the bus to my school in the afternoons and I think I'll start that soon, even though I'm on leave it's just 10 min. From her school. Mornings would be harder bc it picks up at 7:30 and I'd have to get us out the house by 6:45.
B starts on Monday. I'm nervous for him. His school doesn't start until 9a. High school starts at 730a. My mom or my H will drop him off because he was going to have an hr bus ride there (we live close to the bus driver). He will ride the bus home, but it's only 30min. I hope he loves it.
B doesn't start school until September 5. Only another week and a half to go! I think we're going to hang out at the pool the rest of the summer because I can't think of anything else. B loves picnics, so I was going to do a day of picnics - breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Oh, if you're packing lunch, do you pack breakfast too? B's school serves a grab-and-go breakfast in addition to lunch. B's preschool had it last year, but it was included. So he's used to eating breakfast at home, the grab and go breakfast, and lunch.

I make her eat breakfast at home because one issue we are having is she does not eat at school! In pre-k they ate in their classrooms and had to be excused and then it was just playing in the room until everyone was done. Since now she's in the big cafeteria she doesn't eat! She'll eat a tiny bit then be "done" so she can go play outside. They also do a recess/snack so of course she doesn't eat snack at all bc she just goes to recess right away. I figure she'll work it out but at least making her eat breakfast at home I know she has eaten something.
I'll make him eat breakfast at home, but he's the sort that if everybody else is eating, he's going to want to too. But that's a good point about the cafeteria. If it means he gets to go to recess or play, he may forfeit the food. I'm not sure if they eat in the cafeteria or in the classrooms though. They have sneak-a-peak night next week, so I guess I'll ask then.
I can't believe these little guys are old enough to start kindergarten! We met G's teacher tonight and he starts on Monday! What's the phrase, "The days are long, but the years are short?" So true.
I'm trying not to worry about the storm headed for the coast, but half my family is down near corpus for a family funeral and the other half is in Houston. I don't usually get too excited having grown up on the coast, but the predicted rainfall and potential flooding is making me uneasy.
