Do you wait after applying Vitamin C?

I use DE's Vitamin C serum. Do I need to wait after applying it (like an AHA/BHA)?

I do, but far less time. I wait 2-3 minutes instead of 5-10 minutes.

Yes, I wait about 15-20 minutes.

DE says you don't have to, though I prefer to wait. Most mornings I try to let it sit for 10-20 min, but if I'm in a rush, then 2-3 mins.

I try and wait 5-10 minutes between all products, just so it doesn't feel sticky/goopy.

I always wait with acids. It's my understanding that they only work at a specific pH, and that on average it takes your skin about 15 mins to return to its natural pH. I don't know if that's true for every formulation, but I figure it can't hurt. I'd rather wait and *know* I got some benefit.
