Yay for Friday! No weekend plans. L has been a real handful lately. Hopefully he will be nice this weekend. He is doing slightly better getting out of the car at school in the mornings

I got H a bike seat to attach to my bike. Our rec center is only a mile away so I'm hoping to be able to bike him there instead of driving! I hope he fits for awhile. Everything said up to 40 lbs as the only requirement and he's only 30 lbs so I wasn't worried. Well I got the seat and it says max 40 lbs and 39'' and he's already 37'' so I hope he can actually still ride it when he's taller than that.

Arrived in Houston Wednesday evening after three days on the road with kids and dog. Checked into apartment. Got boys registered for school. Now heading north out of the reach of Harvey (we are just not prepared to ride out a multiple day rain deluge and possibly lose power). Welcome to Texas!

nannerl - Welcome to Houston! I hope you guys made it safely to your destination. Fwiw, my first few days of 2nd grade were cancelled due to hurricane cleanup and I have only fun memories. My mom probably remembers it differently. Lol.

My family is being stubborn and staying while MIL and her extended family are in the direct path. I could throttle all of them.

Thinking of everyone in TX!! One of our shops is located in Rockport TX which is getting hit hard. I hope our building is still standing without too much damage. Everyone we know down there has gone to San Antonio at least.
