New here and don't know where to post this

Hello, I'm new here and have been lurking here for a little while.

I'm almost 41 and I've been married for 9 years, but have been separated for almost 9 years. I haven't gotten a divorce yet.

I work part time in retail, but in real life I have no friends. I have major depressive disorder and avoidant personality disorder. I'm in therapy and was diagnosed with that, but I think I'm schizoid, too.

I like music a lot, and writing and journaling, hence my username.

I'm terrible with introductions, but I'm just looking for a new place to hang out and chat with others.

Because of my disorders I don't like social functions and don't go out much, except to work.

I don't know where to post this. Do you guys have an off topic forum?

Hi, welcome! So there are a bunch of different boards on this site that function faily independently, although many posters do frequent more than one. I'm not sure of any that is as casual as what you described, but I think many are open to new posters.

Our board (water cooler) is a pretty small, close knit group that mostly met on getting pregnant years ago. As our family planning journies all went different directions we created this place to stay in touch and talk about more than just kids. We welcome new posters but try to avoid drama and conflict. We're honestly pretty slow since we just sort of catch up and talk about our (not that interesting) lives.

I wouldn't be able to give a good description of anywhere else but let us know if you have questions and maybe someone else can help

Welcome. Like amaranth said it's kinda slow here compared to other boards but you are welcome to stay and post. 🙂

Married life is a busy board that talks about a lot of topics, not all posters there are married. Also there is a starting over board that has some woman who are divorced or getting divorced who support each other in that.

Also there is a thread pinned to the top of the money matter moms group that you may want to read. (Even if you don't post in that group) We've had a lot of racist posters and that is not tolerated here and the post explains some stuff.)

I like all kinds. Mostly older stuff, rock, synth pop, contemporary, and contemporary christian.

I mostly journal. I wrote a few stories when I was a kid, but I haven't written any stories since. I'd like to start writing stories again.

I had a dog but she was put down last year. She was EOL and had a lot of healtg problems. She's the only thing I was ever attached to and it really broke my heart to lose her.

Hi and welcome! There are lots of boards with different focuses, though I'd say there are a good amount that don't fit their name (like Married Life isn't just talking about marriage, there are plenty of posters there not married or never married). Some are pretty much exactly what they sound like (the Got and Getting Pregnant boards for example). You might gave to lurk around a bit on each board to find the right fit but feel free to post here if you'd like!

How time flies, and according to my dad it only gets worse the older you get.
