Thanks. I saw some of the neighborhoods around me yesterday and it's standing water, chest high in some places.

Anderson Cooper and JJ Watt were in my neighbhorhood though. So. Not sure if that's a high point or a low point. But I'm back at work now and taking over some job duties of people who can't come in. DH is home with the kids, he doesn't go back until Tuesday, which is a lot earlier than other places.

Yes we are very fortunate. The public school we are zoned to didn't plan to open until 9/11 but our school opened on 9/5. It helped bring normalcy to us. Some school are staying closed for another 2-3 weeks. Which, as your u can imagine is very hard because people are expected back to work by now. Even though some people still have standing water in their homes.

Weird twilight zone hurricane recovery things: JJ Watt, Anderson Cooper, Harry Connick Jr and Beyoncé all have come to my neighborhood to do interviews or help or whatever. So weird.
