I stared back last Thursday and both girls start on Tuesday! I'm so sad summer is over. I'm much happier being at home, even though I really like my job.
I was up early to book our flights to Disney. We got great times and direct flights from our local airport which I'm happy with, even if the price was higher than I had hoped. Maybe it'll drop some.
Katelyn starts Wednesday but I found out last Thursday that since she's full day (they don't offer full day typically) that they expect her today. Umm, she's got her typical therapy appointments today and a food challenge test tomorrow at 8 am. She'll start on Wednesday.
We are on the east side of Harvey and are anticipating lots of local flooding/tornado warnings so school was cancelled today and probably will be most of the week.
Ugh got my stitches removed today and it's infected and still an open wound :/ It needs to look better in a few days or I guess they'll try antibiotics. It was so painful too, they were too deep and not fun to get removed.
We flew back Saturday night and had yesterday to recover before work today but the kids woke up early yesterday and this morning as well and matilda was up coughing all night. So tired
also it seems my insurance doesn't cover allergy stuff 100% so my recent appointment with allergy and asthma testing is costing me a bunch of money. I'm annoyed because I probably wouldn't have bothered going if I knew the cost, they don't list it on the PDF of benefits guide we have. They list "specialist" covered at 100% which I assumed this would fall into.
Eventful weekend here. Sushi dinner Friday to celebrate our anniversary (belatedly as I wa oncall the wknd of our actual anniversary) Saturday am I brought the kids to an indoor playground as it was cool and rainy here. Tried to take W to the amusement park at mall of America but we drove around looking for parking for 2 minutes and then just gave up. Mh and I went to the mn state fair Sunday am without the kids and ate and drank our way through the fair! Sunday afternoon we tried the amusement park again with better luck. We had mystery ride tickets to claim and one of the tickets had 100 points on it! So W and I went on rides for 3hrs but still weren't even close to using up all the points. The unfortunate thing is that he tickets any be carried over to another day. Oh wel... they were free!
I'm nervous about how Blake is doing. I wish they had video cameras like some daycares so I could check in on him.
I've wished that too! Maybe just at recess or something, the first few days I was worried if she'd make any friends or be playing all alone.
Yes! This is what I'm most worried about. He didn't go to preschool in district because of his speech so he really doesn't know anyone. They'll be ok right?

He's going to be okay! A didn't know anyone either, and she was sad the first 3 days when I picked her up, but she found a friend after that and loves it now!

I hope you don't get too much flooding or tornadoes
So far we are fine. I had one minor moment of panic when there was tornado warning for our specific town, but thankfully no tornados. We have been lucky because there have been spaces between rain bands allowing the water to recede. It's just a waiting game to see what happens out there in the gulf.
It was good I think! He was kind of a spaz when he got home, and would only tell me about the bus ride. He said he liked Gavin although there isn't a Gavin in his class, but there is one in another K class so maybe they played at recess? He also finally told me before bed that Jackson got to wear a crown and brought birthday cookies so he liked him.
I know the principal of the attached intermediate school and she told me he had a smile on his face every time she saw him. The multiple disabilities teacher is my cousin and he's pulled out to work with her a couple hours of the day, and she said he worked hard with her.
His teacher sent a note him that she didn't get any of his supplies, but I was only sent a list home for the multiple disabilities class, so I didn't realize he had to have supplies for both. Whoops. So we got to run to Walmart to get more supplies last night. And I had more forms to fill out. Kindergarten is as much homework for me right now as for him! Lol.
