We're taking a real rest day today and I'm sooooooo excited. No yoga, no cardio, no extra workouts... an actual, real, full day of rest. Haaaaaaaaallelujah. lol.
Workouts: Mon - Rest Tue - Leg Hypertrophy Wed - Push Hypertrophy Thu - Yoga, Pull Hypertrophy Fri - Yoga, Cardio Sat - Leg Strength Sun - Push Strength
Nutrition: I'm focusing on reminding myself to eat throughout the day. I tend to get focused on whatever I'm doing and don't even think about how long it's been since my last meal, and I can't do that with the amount of energy I'm spending at the gym. No meal plan for dinners yet. We've just been keeping our house stocked with ingredients for good choices and going with whatever sounds good that day.
Mental Health: I had a really good appointment with my therapist on Friday and it gave me a lot to think about.
Vent: Last week was tough for me, physically and mentally. My knees and hips and back all ache, and I had to fight to find the motivation to get up and go to the gym every day. I know I just need to keep pushing through and it will start getting easier again, but it's hard to wrestle mental and physical struggles at the same time.
AW: That being said, we're on Day 20 of our program and I've gotten all the way through every single workout. I haven't skipped a day or quit any workouts early, and that feels like a huge accomplishment. I'm also continuing to see/feel myself get stronger, which is really exciting and a huge motivator to keep going. Most notably: Last week I added 20 lbs to my deadlift, 20 lbs to my incline bench press, 10 lbs to my shoulder shrugs, and went from doing machine squats to doing smith machine barbell squats.
