First Day of School

My two eldest have their first day today--1st & 3rd. I always feel a little sad. The littles are still sleeping b/c we are WAY off course on schedules and they are used to sleeping late.  

DS should be fine. DD was super incredibly nervous/anxious about school but really I think it will be okay. My first impression is that I will really like her teacher this year and I like the mix of kids in DD's class. I hope they will both have a good year.

I feel like I will be super sad the year that my youngest starts K and my eldest goes to middle school, in three years. Maybe I'll have to find one of those mom groups that does "back to school mimosa morning" or something! 

Anyone else having the first day today?

Our first day is next week. Idk how I feel about it. I'm having some feels about today being back to work day for staff and I'm not going. Kind of wish I was ATM.

DS has "meet the teacher" for junior kindergarten next Tuesday, then his first day is Friday Sept. 8. DH and I are planning to take him to his first day together - I really, really hope I don't cry!

We are all ready!!! DD wants to get back so badly! She starts Wednesday. DS doesn't start until Sept. 11. I don't love that we have nearly two weeks between start dates since our public schools changed to a pre-Labor Day start.
