Training plan for the week? M: rest T: 10 miles w/ 20ish minutes tempo W-Sa: no clue since I threw away my plan Su: 10k Trail race M: 14-16 long run if I'm not too beat up
Any issues or vents? Nope.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I had a decent 20 and my first trail run in months. I was only sore from the latter. Need to work back into it.

Highlights or AW's from the past week? We added a member to the Wambam family - Kappy the Havanese. He's a sweet, precious 5 year old dog and I think he is just the best.

Space Coast Half Marathon - 11/26 - my fifth and final one!
Training: M-rest, T-4 miles with 30x30s, W-cross training, TH-4 mile shakeout, F-cross training, S-6 progressive miles, Sun-3 mile shakeout. My coach is bound and determine to get me to consistent pacing. She won't accept that I have two speeds - start and stop. 😁
Vents: It's so freaking hot and humid. I am slogging through my runs.
Highlights: I am cautiously optimistic that I am out of my funk or at least over the hump.
What are you training for? Date? last few track/velodrome races, Cyclocross starts Oct. 1
Training plan for the week? Sunday: 2 hour road ride Monday: Off/Massage Tuesday: 90 minute road ride w/intervals Wed.: Core Thursday: Ride TBD (weather) Friday: Supposed to race at the track (TBD weather) Saturday: 2-3 hour ride (TBD weather) Sunday: 2-3 hour ride Monday: 40 mile road ride-charity ride
Any issues or vents? Atlanta is going to have several days of rain & up to 10" because of Harvey Wed.-Sat., so I'll most likely be stuck on the trainer. Blah.

Training plan for the week? Swim Mon-Thur-Sat
Any issues or vents? I can't seem to dial in my sunscreen application. I have gotten burned both days I've been to the pool so far, despite applying what I thought was a sufficient quantity of sunscreen. Maybe I got a bad batch?
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I'm back, y'all! I totally wasn't expecting to hit the pool and be back at 3000+ yards right away, because that seems unrealistic. Yes, I've lost some fitness and speed, evidenced by my usual 8-ish minute 500 taking 11 minutes, but the distance is still there!
CanLakes 50 10/7, with Wineglass Half 10/1 and Rochester Marathon Relay (8 mile leg) 9/17

I was the recipient of a random act of kindness: This morning a stranger pulled up alongside me during my shit-tastic run and said she's seen me out running all the time this summer and from one runner to another she just wanted to say "great job". She asked if I was in training, what for, etc. Simple, but it honestly couldn't have come at a time when I needed to hear it more. Runners really are the best people.

Issues - not really
Highlights- I just got back from vacation (visiting my family in ireland) and while I was there I ran 3 times, visited the gym once, and swam 600 yards once. It's easy for me to become lazy when I'm away so I'm proud
ALSO I've been having all these ankle issues making me unable to run, but I switched shoes and have been feeling much better! I think I've been foolishly wearing stability shoes for a long time when I don't actually pronate ... I've worn my new ones (asics dynaflyte) for four runs now (3-4 miles each time) and am feeling good !!!!!!! the last run I had in my other shoes my ankle hurt after 1 mile. I'm afraid to be hopeful but I am hopeful ...

What are you training for? Date? Beer 5k 9/16, Chicago 10/8, Fall 50 Relay 10/22
Training plan for the week? M-12 miles T- lift W- 6 miles Tr- 12 tempo F- 6 miles S- 20 miles S- rest or bike or swim
Any issues or vents? I'm back on track with my big toe but now am getting random blisters on both my feet. I am starting to get super annoyed that my kitchen isn't 100% done. We're functional and have been for awhile but I'm over all the little things sitting out there.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Happy to be feeling healthy again, completed my long run with miles at goal pace right on track.
Training plan for the week? - Mon Recovery swim and spin. Tues Group Ride. Wed Swim and run. Thurs Off. Fri, Sat and Sunday - runs of some kind, but I don't know exactly what.
Any issues or vents? - My coach seemed to forget that I told him to give me actual workouts for when I'm gone, so I need to bug him again to give me some damn workouts.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? - I had a great race Sunday that did wonders for my mental game.
Training plan for the week? Mon - Rest Tue - Leg Hypertrophy Wed - Push Hypertrophy Thu - Yoga, Pull Hypertrophy Fri - Yoga, Cardio Sat - Leg Strength Sun - Push Strength
Any issues or vents? Last week was tough for me, physically and mentally. My knees and hips and back all ache, and I had to fight to find the motivation to get up and go to the gym every day. I know I just need to keep pushing through and it will start getting easier again, but it's hard to wrestle mental and physical struggles at the same time.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? That being said, we're on Day 21 of our program and I've gotten all the way through every single workout. I haven't skipped a day or quit any workouts early, and that feels like a huge accomplishment. I'm also continuing to see/feel myself get stronger, which is really exciting and a huge motivator to keep going. Most notably: Last week I added 20 lbs to my deadlift, 20 lbs to my incline bench press, 10 lbs to my shoulder shrugs, and went from doing machine squats to doing smith machine barbell squats.

Mon - 3.5 mile run, SS Strength 25 & Speed 35 workout, 5.7 mile run Tues - body pump/core/stretch class & Strength 35 Wed - Speed 35, 3 mile run with stroller Thurs - Strength 35 & Shift Core and swim or bike Fri - Speed 35 Sat - Long run 6-10 miles and Strength 35 & Shift Core Sun - Bike and/or swim and yoga
Any issues or vents? I feel kind of lost without a true training plan and won't be starting training for my half until October 1st. Where did summer go??
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I've gotten into a good routine. I'm also noticing that I'm pulling weights that are much bigger at my strength sessions.

Any issues or vents? I'm on a work trip all week and my colleagues all want to go out drinking. I feel obligated to join them. But it makes early morning runs really hard when we need to leave the hotel by 7am.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I had a nice 18 mile run last weekend. I ran with some buddies and in a new place.
I started RP food plan yesterday, and um, that was a ton of food for a hard workout day! 3700 calories worth with carb loading around the time of ballet (100 g before, 40 g during, 180 g after) . This is going to take some getting used to.
Highlights or AW's from the past week?
I felt much better mentally during ballet with the food. I convinced my husband to join me, so that makes it far easier to manage meals.
