I got the dreaded "your kid puked" call from school today. He's been home not quite 1.5 hours and he is definitely not sick. He was eating lunch so I'm guessing he gagged on something. He has a very weak gag reflex that's even worse when he has a cold (which he currently does). I'm making him lay on the couch and watch tv and you'd think I was the worst mother ever. He's also begging for food but was not happy with the couple of crackers I offered.
Omg I got that yesterday too and she was perfectly fine all day yesterday and today. I took her back today after lunch and they were all why is she back and I'm like not she's not sick! They also only have a 12 hour vomiting rule, and I waited 26 hours.
H is finally scheduled to start speech therapy in 3 weeks! I met his speech therapist today, and she seems really nice. H was such a ham, he took her hand and showed her around the house, kept "chatting" away to her, and then hugged her goodbye.

Waiting in car line...this is getting old fast. Today we move into a hotel for 4-6 days while a restoration company cleans our house from a small fire we had 3 weeks ago. We had a loose wire that controls voltage and caused a power strip to catch fire. Luckily fire dept was there and it was very small. We lost all major kitchen appliances due to the voltage increase. Thankfully insurance is paying everything including hotel stay.

@lindy, I emailed the teacher to see what the policy is for returning, H picked him up and of course didn't think to ask that. I reminded her that he has a really weak gag reflex too, I'm torn, while I appreciate they send kids home thus reducing the chance for other kids to get sick, i would hate to get called if he simply gags on his food every time.
I really hate this school and wish she was at his school. I unleashed on the principal this morning. Their lack of communication is horrendous. It took the day of the open house to find out who her kindergarten teacher is, transportation has been screwed up. I found out last Thursday in passing that they expected her at school on Monday even though her kindergarten letter (with no teacher) said Wednesday start. I got a call yesterday from special ed asking if I was using said bus because she wasn't on it Monday or Tuesday. I told her it wasn't communicated with us that she was to start then and we were currently at the allergist for a 4+ hour appointment. She stated they wouldn't be unexcused absences since it wasn't communicated with us. The principal told me this morning that I choose to keep her home and not start on Monday. I may have screamed at her that she makes the worst first impressions as she screwed up Kalvin's kindergarten and again they never told me about the start date until a few days prior. Not my choice. I also said that I don't trust them to drop my daughter off at her house since they couldn't see in all of the notes that she was to be picked up at my house. I already warned daycare that the driver might drop her there and if they could please keep her until Kalvin gets off the bus and then H will pick her up.
Happy 1st fucking day of school. Ugh.
ETA: The office is also incompetent as when I called two weeks ago to see who her teacher was, they said historically the kids in the full day (SN class) go to one teacher (the one that couldn't handle Kalvin and would have the principal call DAILY to pick him up). I found out her SN teacher wasn't going to be conferencing with her 3 days later and found out another teacher was. So I asked if that was her teacher, yes. They should have told me the first time I called. H called the school on Monday to say she wasn't going to be there and they didn't even take her name.

Daniel is so sick (sarcasm), he has called me over to watch a commercial for Boost, because it will give me energy and protein so I can keep up with them, a commercial for addiction insurance, I'm not sure what he's implying here 😂 and the last one was for a back brace lol. Clearly we needed to bring him home asap. He's now completely abandoned his "sick" bed and I drawing on a giant piece of styrofoam.
B has meet the teacher tonight - I reminded him this morning at breakfast. He fell off his chair sobbing, ran to his room and slammed the door shouting, I'm not going.
The package has arrived! I repeat the package has arrived.
Granted she was 10-15 minutes late and H said he saw the bus moving slowly for two blocks and saw her point to our house. At least she can tell him where she lives.

I'm glad she made it! They need to get their act together!
