Sleep eluded me again last night. I almost called in today, and then I remembered that I took a vacation day tomorrow and calling in would look really bad. Thankfully, my 2nd interview was rescheduled to Tuesday. I don't plan on doing much today.
I'm good! Last night was so much fun. Dinner was wonderful and the company was awesome. All my friends, even though they're from different places, all got along really well. I'm so ready for the long weekend. I think I may be able to not go in to work tomorrow, which would be amazing, even if it means doing a little work from home.
Oh hey. I crashed at 9pm last night. I am truly the life of the party. But...at least I could then get up for my 6am yoga class.
I was convinced yesterday was Thursday, and today sure FEELS like it should be Friday. Ugh. Hurry up, long weekend! I was invited to join some friends camping this weekend, but we're supposed to get the remnants of Harvey on Saturday, and I really don't feel like tent camping in the rain. What are you supposed to do when camping with no campfire?
Oh, and I looked at all the documents you have to produce to even be eligible for the PMP bullygirl979, and I think that made my decision to start with the PHR certification instead, LOL. For real - gathering all the documentation looks like a full time job in itself. I really don't have time to summarize every freaking project I've been on in the past 8 years to quantity my hours of PM experience. Seriously, working on projects is all I do; I really don't want to have to type up how I contribute to every project that passes by my desk.

chalupa, lol. I feel you. I already had to do something like this for my second level professional license that I hold. This is like second nature to me Although, I would still be in the 36 month stage, so I would be leading up to take my exam.
I am too lazy for this shit! Just let me cram some knowledge into my head and then take a multiple choice exam. Seriously, the thought of documenting 4500 hours makes me want to cry. Just multiply 40 hour work weeks by 52 weeks a year and you know how many hours I spend on project management.

chalupa, for my second level license, I had to not only document 3,000 hours of work, but it had to include the type of work ALONG WITH DATES AND TIMES. So, it would have to read: 5/5/2014 3-3:45pm did xyz work. THEN I HAD TO GET IT SIGNED OFF ON. It was insane. Oh, and then I got to take a hard test. So.Much.Fun.
bullygirl979, I want the cert - I just don't want to do the pre-work. LOL. My boss says she's cool with the HR-specific cert first, and then I'll think about PMP again for 2019 or something. Maybe by then I'll have worked up the enthusiasm to document everything. I just KNOW with my luck, I'd be one of the lucky random audits and they'd have to email every supervisor I've ever had to verify my work experience.
We're getting lots of rain today so I decided to work from home. Good thing for my neighbor too because her car died this morning so now she's using mine.
I started out this week feeling like it would drag but it has flown by. I can't believe that tomorrow is already Friday. I'm definitely not unhappy about it.
I'm somewhat regretting signing up for that half marathon, if for $$ purposes, but really because this weekend starts the long runs. Luckily though, the weather has been odd and cool (I'll take it) and looks to be a low of 63 this weekend. Hooray.
