New York 2140 by Kim Stanley Robinson - 3* Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo - 5* Devil's Cut by J.R. Ward - 4* The City Of Mirrors by Justin Cronin - 4*
I am at 30 of 52 so 4 books behind. I was hoping my life would get less chaotic once school starts but it doesn't look like that is going go happen. Plus fall TV usually does me in.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah Maas Caraval by Stephanie Garber Christine by Stephen King (re-read) Girls of Rihadh by Rajaa Alsanea and Marilyn Booth
Unfortunately for the book club discussion Caraval was my least favorite of the four.
I'm actually way ahead of where I've been in past years in terms of number of books; I've finished 40, whereas my average is around 50 and if I kept on this track I'd end up at 60. It doesn't look like my average book length will be shorter (has ranged from 430-500; this year so far is 479) so I may actually be reading more.

It was a slow month for me, only 1 book finished.
41. Jolly Foul Play by Robin Stevens, 4****
I feel like I hit a slump with the book I'm currently reading, but it's just that struggling through it combined with the fact that I'll read for like 10 minutes in bed and fall asleep. DH has come to bed to find me sound asleep with the book still in my hand several nights.
I'm at 41 of my annual goal of 52, and 27 of 40 in my Monopoly Challenge.
Five stars Every Day by David levithan The Almost Sisters by Joshilyn Jackson After Tupac and D Foster by Jacqueline Woodson
The Lake House by Kate Morton 4.5 stars
Four stars On Her Majesty's Frightfully Secret Service by Rhys Bowen Hush by Jacqueline Woodson The Book of the Unnamed Midwife by Meg Elison If You Come Softly by Jacqueline Woodson The Leavers by Lisa Ko
Three stars Caraval by Stephanie Garber Behind You by Jacqueline Woodson
I only read 2 books in August despite a long vacation because the second took forever.
Night Film - 4.5* Edge of Eternity - 3* God, this book irritated the crap out of me. The writing was mediocre, the characters were mostly ridiculous (everyone's world famous!), and the story lines predictable. I didn't love the first books in the Century trilogy but I still felt obligated to finish it. Not sure whether I will read A Column of Fire when it comes out this month.
I am 5 books ahead for the year but I set my goal very low.
I finished: Caraval 3* The Firefly Dance 3* The Lost and Found Sisters 3* Sex Object 3* The Paris Key 3* The Hate U Give 5* Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets (illustrated edition, reading as a family) 5*
Wow! I definitely don't feel like I've read this many this month! Surprised. I've actually met my yearly goal (and a typical number for the year), so I am way ahead of where I anticipated.
43. I Found You - 4* 44. Rich People Problems - 4* 45. Local Girl Missing - 3.5* 46. The Almost Sisters - 2* 47. Little Monsters - 2.5* 48. After Anna - 4*
