We are at the hotel one more night then we can move back home. We are enjoying the pool now then we are going to run errands and go out to eat. We are picking up my stepson for dinner, we haven't seen him in a month due to the mess at our house. He is 17 so not such a big deal but Ruby misses him.
College football starts today, Dh's HS football team started last night, so that will consume most of our weekends for the next few months. DH wanted to cook and invite friends tonight, but I don't feel like entertaining (plus the game he wants to watch starts at 8:30 and I don't want people over that late!)
I need to transition both boys closets to the next size up. I hate doing that, but it's so much easier than DD's. We have a bunch of hand me downs, and the volume of girls clothes I had to go through was overwhelming.
We are up north at our cottage for one last weekend. It's actually pretty nice although a little cooler. Nice end to the summer. Can't believe school is starting in 3 days!
Getting ready for a wedding. I have cute pants for H but it's way warmer than it should be in September so I think I'm going to put him in shorts, he gets so sweaty and gross when he's hot and it's CO so not formal lol.
Also got a new bike and a seat for H so I can take him with me when A is in school! The rec center is only half a mile away so I'm excited to bike there.
The boys and I are in Florida and fly home later tomorrow. I think it's supposed to rain Monday so I'm going to pass kid care to DH, sleep in, and get a pedicure. I have a ridiculous number of things todo Tuesday/Wednesday and then SCHOOL STARTS!!!
My kids partied hard at the wedding last night but slept in until 8:30! They're usually up by 7 at the latest. A had a blast dancing away, the music was too loud for H though so he didn't do much dancing.

Pictures!!
I didn't take any really once we were there because H was running all around but here's some from before.
Too much apparently. Boys start school on Thursday and DH is back in the office on Tuesday. Our relocation coordinator was unable to find us any apartment, hotel room, or other month-ish place to live until we can close on our house (Harvey, the gift that keeps on giving) so we might end up doing a lease back with the owners of our soon-to-be house. Basically we move in early and pay them rent until we close. The drawback to this arrangement is there is no furniture in the house, and if we call for our furniture to be delivered and the deal falls through, we are responsible for moving everything out again. We might just piece together air mattresses, a pack and play, and basic household supplies from relatives and camp out for a week or two. Ordinarily we wouldn't do this, but these are extraordinary circumstances. BUT! At least we have a plan and a future house-- I'm actually ok that there are no hotels or apartments available. Means that people who need them a lot worse than us have roofs over their heads.

Sounds stressful Is the house you are buying ok or was it impacted by Harvey

It's fine! No flooding or storm damage. Just waiting on the paperwork.
We had to go shoe shopping today because online order I made for B's shoes still hasn't come, or even shipped so he didn't have uniform shoes. Taking two small boys shoe shopping is not an experience I wish to repeat anytime in the near future.
They also insisted on wearing superhero capes which made it all the more hilarious to view I'm sure.
