1) how often do they come 2) how much do they charge (I realize this will vary by area but looking for ballpark estimates) 3) what stuff do they do 4) how did you find them (FB, Craigslist, personal referral)

All floors will be vacuumed and mopped with appropriate house cleaning agents. Dusting all furniture, fixtures and picture frames. Clean vent fronts and switchplates. Remove cobwebs. Clean Laundry Room including machine surfaces and floor area. Chrome fixtures cleaned and shined. Linens changed(please leave on bed for cleaners). Vacuum under bed and easy to move furniture (if accessible). Inside of all window sills. Empty trash. They also do random little things like wash Andrew's water bottle that he leaves by his bed and refill the baking tray in our toaster oven. 4 - They were recommended on our neighborhood Facebook page.
She comes every other week and charges $180 each visit. We have 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, but 2 bathrooms/bedrooms are rarely used and generally don't need much of a cleaning.
She scrubs the bathrooms and kitchen entirely. Mops all floods(we have all hardwoods), vacuums, dusts/polishes, straightens up, makes beds. She will change the bed linens if we want but we never do. She doesn't do baseboards or windows.
We found her through personal referral - the only way DH would let someone have a key to our house is that way.
Every other week and she charges $80 per visit. Our house is 2100 sqft with a lot of wood floors. It's a team of ladies and it probably takes them 60-90 minutes. I tip an extra visit at Christmas.
They do a basic cleaning - sweep, mop, dust, clean toilets, sinks, showers, etc. They don't do inside the oven or the refrigerator and they don't get the baseboards, windows, or walls. They will change the sheets.
once a month, she charges $90. We have a 2 bed/ 1 bath 1240 square foot cape.
She strips the beds and washes the bedding, then makes the beds before she leaves General cleaning, bathroom, kitchen, surfaces, vacuums mops etc. She doesn't clean baseboards or walls, nor does she do the fridge. A couple times she's cleaned the microwave. She doesn't do the windows.
honestly, I think to have someone do everything I'd want (like all the regular stuff, plus cleaning walls, baseboards, windows, clean out the fridge etc.) they would probably need to be there twice as long. She usually spends 3-4 hours there and does a decent job.
I'd love someone to do a real deep cleaning every 2 weeks but it's an expensive luxury as it is even just having that 3-4 hours once a month.
I live in a LCOL. Mine comes every other week and we pay her $100. She's there about three hours. She does all the general cleaning, like vacuuming, cleaning the bathrooms and showers, empties all trash cans, cleans the kitchen, sweeps the wood floors. She makes the beds, but does not change the sheets. She offered to, but I don't ask her to do that. And then she does something different each time. Like she might clean the upstairs windows one time, and the downstairs windows one time, and clean off the ceiling fans one time. Our house is about 2400 ft2.
