Why is coming back to work after a long weekend even harder than a regular weekend ... blah.
My H is going out of town tomorrow morning early for a work trip so I'll be solo parenting a few days. Now the kids have two separate drop offs and pick ups and with my train schedule I really can't manage it. My next door neighbor is going to help me with drop off as her daughter is going to the same school.
I have so many medical appointments coming up. This Thursday I have to go to the breast health center because of a blister/lump on my nipple I've had for months/years (not sure). I went to the ob and they took a culture it and determined I have an infection, so I've been on antibiotics a week. But they also want me to go to the breast health because I've had this nipple thing for a long time now.
Then, also this month I have appointments to go for my long overdue physical, then a return to the allergist to discuss my asthma (these appointments are 2 days apart but I couldn't get them the same day!), then I also have to make another appointment with the ENT guy, last year around this time I had a brain MRI because of a weird hearing test result, and they said come back in a year. And then my annual skin check at the Derm is next month. Aaaaaah
it is hard to manage all these appointments with working full time far from home
Alexander started full time daycare/preschool today. He really needs the stimulation of a school setting and to be with kids his age. He was so bored here without Daniel last year. So today I'm officially a SAHM with no kids. I just ate breakfast alone and now I'm sipping on my tea, its wonderful and strange at the same time.
He was so excited to go, but got a little shy once we got there. No tears though so hopefully that's a good thing and he will continue to be excited to go!
My baby
He insisted he needed a shirt like Daniel's, who am I to argue, lol.
I am working from home today with the kids. For some reason, Kindergarten starts a day later than everyone, so we had no child care of course. They have an assessment with their teachers this afternoon.
laurack I have been avoiding all medical things for myself. I don't live close to my NP anymore, but don't want to find a new one. Plus, it's hard to get into a derm for a check. I just keep putting it all off. I really need blood work and a physical though. It's been almost 3 years :/
A told me she was excited to go to school today! First time she's said that. She has 3 friends she seems to play with a lot at school now, and I think that's helping. She also thinks the little boy that sits next to her is awesome so that's good, she's usually pretty shy around boys for some reason.
Ugh I feel you laurack. I have so many appointments I need to schedule - derm, dentist, eye, and endo. My annual physical is already scheduled for January, so at least there's one!
Our director from Belgium is coming tomorrow. I spent most of last week dealing with insurance on our TX building that was hit by Harvey, and then last night our area had a tornado. Luckily no damage to our house or office, but office power was knocked out all morning making it difficult to get the shit I need to get done.
The tornado touched down about 5miles away from our house, and took out a couple garages, sheds, trees, and a couple roofs. No injuries though thank goodness. School was canceled for B since the school was very close to touch down.

I picked up Alexander at 4:30 today, they're outside from 4-4:30 and I know that will be his favourite time so I waited until it was over. When I got there they were just coming in, he looked at me, said "I'm not ready to leave yet, it's play time now" then ran into his classroom. I guess he likes it, lol.
