YouTube Kids - watch and block

Can we share the best and worst of YouTube kids?

I'll start - documentaries on endangered species, fishing, seven supergirls and real food versus gummy food are uber popular here.

I blocked every Roblox and Minecraft channel I could. Things that alarmed me include how to kill people, how to kill yourself, weird body image stuff, violence, lots of talk of evil, evil clowns, etc.

I also blocked every clown video and channel. There's a ton of evil clown stuff that's very creepy.

My kid watches DenisDaily, FGTV, and a few others over and over. The worst by far is some channel called Chase and Duddy. I've banned her from it simply because it is quite possibly the most annoying, stupid show on the entirety of YouTube.

Yes panicked - the painfully stupid shows - I just don't GET the appeal!

Wtf is up with people making scary Peppa Pig videos? Honest to God, that should be a straight one-way ticket to hell. I mean, who needs to screw up a show for preschoolers?

Yes! mommyatty I ran out of blocks before I could block
those. So I told DS not to watch Peppa and he told me he doesn't like Peppa. That it's scary. Oops. Missed that one.

I did not know it was possible to block YouTube channels. Going to look into this!

This is kind of unrelated but we like the Cosmic Kids Yoga channel. Yoga for kids but based around silly stories/animation.

Mine too, welly01. They got hooked on Betsy the Banana first, and have been exploring the other ones ever since. They look really cute doing the poses. It makes me feel less bad for parking them in front of YouTube, too--at least they're getting some exercise?

I took YouTube off our phones. One or two of our devices still had YouTube kids and I haven't seen any weird scary peppa type stuff there. My kids are younger though so I can get away with that.
