suzv - The weekends are tough for me, too. I tend to under-eat on weekdays and over-eat on weekends. I'm still struggling to find a happy medium to keep my nutrition stable day by day. Yesterday, I was out and about all day and forgot to eat, then came home and scarfed down waaaaaaay too much pasta an hour before we went to the gym for a heavy legs workout. Not my smartest moment. lol.

I'm still interested! I'm hoping to be around more now that the second job will be slowing down.
I gained 2 pounds this week. 😞 I'm hoping it's water weight since we ate out all weekend. I choose healthier foods at the restaurants and was very active.
My goal is 4 workouts this week.
Nutrition wise, I actually meal planned this week!
Monday: chicken pot pie, salad Tuesday: penne a la vodka, garlic toast, salad Wednesday: pork chops, Mac &a cheese, veggie Thursday: leftovers Friday: beef and broccoli, brown rice Saturday: skillet taco pasta, salad
wineandcheese - Any chance you're gaining muscle from how active you've been? I'm always hesitant to rely on the scale for progress, because I feel like it can be really deceiving.
Care to share your recipe for skillet taco pasta? That sounds amazing!

I did another 5:30am workout this morning. OMG, how am I ever going to get used to functioning that early? I mean, I'm used to being awake at that point, but not actually leaving the house and accomplishing things. lol.

I'm still interested! I had several crazy weeks with work and vacations, but I'm ready to keep holding myself accountable. I'm currently up 4-5lbs. Eek!

The last 2 weeks DH & I did a low carb diet (with one cheat meal each week) and I lost a total of 7.5 lbs! I feel so much better, I really needed that because I had put on probably 5 pounds around R's birthday.
From Oct-Apr I lost 20 pounds and then from Apr-Aug regained 13 of it and felt miserable, so I'm really working to try and get the rest of it back off. My biggest challenge this week - with my birthday and DH's - is to not gain back what I just lost!

katespade it could be some muscle gain. I'll post my recipe later. I need to take it out of my recipe binder which is currently under a pile of DH's stuff.
HoneySpider - That's so great! Are you going to stick with the low carb diet?
Unfortunately it's not sustainable for me long term...2 weeks is about all I can take lol. I'll go back to counting calories but I do want to try and incorporate more low carb foods into my diet

Alright ladies. Opinion time. My gym sent out a note that they are doing a free 21 day challenge starting next Monday. Nothing wild. Just a healthy reset because members were comparing about eating so much junk food the last two weeks with the hurricane. Anyhow, as part of it you get free body fat composition, tips from the trainers, private FB group, etc. You have to do weekly weigh-ins. Here is the issue. Next week I have a girlfriend coming to visit (which prob will in include girl time type eating and drinking). The following week I have a work trip (which usually includes airport food - but that could be tapered in). Some motivation to get back on track WOULD be nice and I'd like to get the free body fat reading. But am I setting myself up for failure here, since it's only 21 days and like 7 of them would be times I'd normally give myself a pass?

wanderingenough - If a healthy reset is important to you, I think it might be a good test of your will power! There are always going to be reasons why real life is standing in the way of doing something like a 21 day challenge, but it sounds like you want to do it and having a cheat meal or a cheat day (or multiple!) doesn't have to mean you've failed. I think there's plenty of wiggle room to do the challenge and also allow yourself to enjoy your girl time and work trip.

I am still interested too!
After having a couple bad weeks due to being sick and recovering I am back to normal this week! I ran 2x and have been doing really well with my steps. When I was sick I went from 13k average to 9500 and am now back up to 11,300 average! I am also down a couple pounds but have a good 5 I would like to lose. Although it's not likely to happen soon with L's upcoming birthday and it being fall and loving all things pumpkin 😀
