I made it through Irma with no power outage. Pretty much most of my city lost power yesterday and some into today but mine stayed on the whole time. Feelin lucky. My neighbors and I had dinner together and watched Hope Floats. That movie makes be bawl every damn time.
We're going to see It tomorrow night. I'm so excited but I probably won't sleep for days.

I'm a bit cranky today over this job thing. I didn't follow up yesterday as I was busy in the afternoon. I think I will follow up today, but I'm not sure who to follow up with. The recruiter I did my first interview with is on vacation. So, I'm not sure if I should follow up with her coverage person or the hiring manager (as I know her pretty well).
Great news kaneen! I'm chugging along through the day, I am pretty busy trying to get some plan review done and conference materials printed. It's rainy and cool, a perfect day to have stayed on the couch watching TV! Taco Tuesday tonight with my friends though so woot.
Yesterday was an easy day at work, so back at it today. I'm super excited because I think C and I found a trailer for camping adventures. My dad is going to check it out today, and if all comes back good then we'll get it. I'm super excited about this and at the same time like EEEK! this purchase is the most committed I've been to anyone in 7 years. It's exciting, but also a little scary as I think about shedding my single girl self.
I'm pretty sure I'm annoying people in the DA's office at this point. They don't seem to know if they did receive the forms I both faxed and mailed to them a week ago. If they release my medical records to the defense without the modifications I've requested, I'll be pissed.
Also, my friend who's about to get married is melting down and it's been really taxing to try to be there for her as much as she asks.

How's everyone doing today?
We didn't loose power either. The rest of my neighborhood did. We. Ought a generator when it was supposed to hit us really bad. We hadn't opened it and were planning on returning it. Instead we sold it to our neighbor to help start a pump to save his basement. Power is still out in most of my neighborhood. I live by retail so rarely loose it.
My friends house took a beating and was cut in half practically by a tree.

Oh no, neonpink! My godmother's house had a window blown out, and they have two trees down in the yard, but it's not as bad as it could have been. Waiting to hear on my uncle's house--they were in an evacuation zone, so who knows.
I'm out on the West Coast this week for a conference for DH's work. It's SO HOT. The high was 105 yesterday. WTF. I love heat, and this is ridiculous. I was planning on getting all my online project management training done poolside, but the computer was starting to overheat after being outside for just a few minutes, so that's not happening. I also have a 5 am conference call tomorrow morning that I am not looking forward to...stupid time zones! But, the food at the conference has been yummy, and the drinks have been pretty plentiful.
Today was rough at work. I got pulled into a situation with one of my kiddos that ended up taking over my full afternoon and kept me at work more than an hour and a half after I usually would leave. So glad it's over for today.

Didn't mean to ignore you! It was in Palm Desert, CA. It cooled off to highs of only the low 90s the last couple days, when we were in Palm Springs, thankfully!

It's okay. I'm glad it cooled off for you! I figured you were probably too far from me anyway, but I had to ask!
