Elliot managed to get sick after just 2 days of kindergarten - he has been home with a high fever yesterday and today. DH is in France through Saturday evening and it's been a mess here trying to deal with the sick kid, moody 10 year old, house painters and contractors everywhere who keep messing things up, and a dog bouncing off the walls because I can't take her for long walks. I'm over this week.
My dad did ok with the hurricane. They went back to their house the other day. Still no power (they have a small generator that runs the fridge and a few lights) or phone service and lots of landscape damage, but nothing too bad.
I overslept and didn't get my run in this morning. I've been waiting 2.5 hours for our new dishwasher to be delivered and installed. Still no one here.
I have so many things to do today for a fundraising event I'm co-chairing before picking the boys up from school. I'm going to be so annoyed if the dishwasher people don't get here until this afternoon.
We are in the middle of trying to figure out if H has a food intolerance. He had been throwing up in the middle of the night and getting horrible diarrhea weekly for like 6 months. Anyways, we thought it was dairy but it's not. So now idk what it could be! We took him off all foods except carbs and meat for a month and now have been slowly adding stuff back in. He's been on dairy since Saturday and is fine. Our last guess is beans? Seems super random though.

I just booked tickets for the polar express! Last year we went November 13th, it was awesome and totally out you in the Christmas mood even though it was early, this ready we are going December 14th, we will be full swing into Christmas then!

I want to do this but I'm afraid H won't behave. Darn wild child. A would LOVE it though so maybe I could just put up with him for a few hours lol

Alexander was 2.5 when we went last year and he did really well. The train we do has 3 different seating options, we did the middle option last year (the only difference between it and the top was sitting in the dome, but at night that isn't a big deal). There were maybe 8 tables of 4 in our car and lots to look at to stay entertained. Plus cookies and hot chocolate! I think I might keep it a surprise from them this year and just pick them up from school and go!
I want to go on ours but it's super expensive and everyone says it's not worth it. I want it to be good! We have a smaller train that's 45 min and Santa comes and you look at lights so we will do that
Love this shirts sandj82110!! Especially for new parents!!
I just booked polar express tickets this week too! I'm really excited. I think the boys are going to love it. My parents and H's are going to come too, so I couldn't get all 8 of us together until dec 21st. They are expensive, but I think will be worth it to do at least once!
