Ugh. That's so frustrating! Will your insurance cover a trigger?
When I initially phoned my insurance, they told me infertility treatments were covered, but my RE said otherwise. I need to phone them again on Monday to find out.

Why are insurance companies always so useless? I called three times and got 3 different answers. I am hoping your RE is right, and they tend to be pretty knowledgeable on the coverages.

I was going to start OPKs on Friday per FF but I got EWCM this morning and now I'm panicking. I'm going to start testing tomorrow since I don't have any tests with me at work (and this reminded me I should probably bring some to keep here.)

I hope my RE is wrong!
Oh oops, totally misread! My RE was actually wrong, but their billing and financial department was right.

Anyone else in New England? The weird temp shifts the past few weeks are making my chart look all messed up. I'm convinced it's because it's so damn hot in our room at night. Also my dog has apparently decided to sleep like an infant now, he woke me up every two hours all night and I don't think I got enough time in between the last wake-up and my temp this morning. I am so frustrated! Hoping the OPKs will be enough to nail down timing for the IUI, and really hoping that I didn't somehow ovulate super early and miss it.

I'm in NYC, and it's hot as balls here.
Also, I've considered purchasing Ava, and reading their FAQs is interesting:
www.avawomen.com/avaworld/problems-with-bbt-ovulation/ "Contrary to popular belief, BBT doesn’t always rise immediately after you ovulate. According to a study that compared BBT readings with ultrasound—the gold standard in confirming ovulation—only 11 percent of women have a BBT rise within one day of ovulation. For many of the women in the study, BBT did not rise until more than two days after ovulation."

I'm not in New England but my sleep was been wonky for several months. FF doesn't like several of my temps this month because they're a little out of the preferred window but I can't control when I get up to within an hour. I pretty much always wake up in the middle of the night now and then I have to give myself a chance to get in a couple more hours before I do a reading. The hours vary from night to night. I also think my cats piling on top of me has been causing me to overheat and wake up sweating. I know I'll appreciate the pile-up during the colder nights but they haven't arrived yet.
Here's where I'm at. I'm trying not to read too much into it, but I've had some of the same symptoms I had when I ovulated during cycle 1 (sore boobs, extra CM, etc). So, I'm hopeful but trying not to be too hopeful.

I have also considered Ava! (My phones autocorrects to ACA lmfao). My main hesitation is that it's not tested for people with PCOS, and I'm still classified as "borderline/possible." But with PCOS OPKs can also be unreliable and my RE was very clear that all I need to confirm ovulation are the OPKs and she would be absolutely shocked if I wasn't ovulating based on that and my LF timing (but for unmonitored cycles we can pay extra for a progesterone test to confirm.) It's one of the main reasons I am considering moving to monitored/medicated cycles next time - I need more data for peace of mind.
I am glad for the confirmation that BBT doesn't always pinpoint ovulation due to my repeated crosshairs the second day after the +OPK, my temp rise is a little slow but it really might not mean anything.

Holy moly, EWCM showed up today. Should I test with an OPK today, or would it be too late to see a + at this point? I'm still not totally clear on how the timing works, and I'm a bit confused because I had a temp increase this morning. Does EWCM mean I might have already ovulated, or I might be getting ready to?

I usually get it leading up to ovulation but not after. I think it probably varies a lot by person but it couldn't hurt.
For context I had EWCM on Tuesday and didn't have positive OPKs yesterday or today... and realistically I don't expect to ovulate until the weekend or next week.

That's good to know. H is going to be OOT this weekend, so we're trying to plan around that to make sure we don't miss the fertile window, if it appears.
