I feel like I haven't had a moment to sit and relax lately. We have gotten so much stuff done in the last few days. I am feeling so much better about the move.
I've been up at 4:30am every day this week, to bed after midnight the last three nights, up twice per night, and now an exhausted emotional wreck. Barely holding in tears. I took a three hour nap and still am so tired. I love my kids but damn this is hard.
My hubby is on huge deadline and he hasn't looked up from his work computer once this whole weekend even though we had guests. He's wearing headphones.
Also, our guests were inadvertently rude. They kept critiquing how clean the house was with words of "wow, it's going to be so hard when we have kids because xyz would drive me crazy". She kept sweeping my floor and commenting on the dishes. My house was the cleanest it's been in like a year. It was NOT dirty or messy. Od course there were dishes in the sink. I freaking served then food! Then she'd say all snarky "wow, you're just super mom aren't you. I could never do this" in a tone of thank God I don't have to. They can get a hotel next time...
So glad I have that conference this week. 4 days by my lonesome self. Amen.
We are swapping furniture all over the place this weekend--our old bed is gone, we got a new bed delivered, the guest room bed is now in DS's room, and the crib is in the former guest room. This has created oodles of laundry as we had two new bedding sets to wash, on top of the three that had been on the two beds and the crib. I think we have done 10 loads of laundry so far this weekend, and it was just bed linens and towels.
We did take a break to go to a pumpkin farm today. Apple cider doughnuts, yum!!
amaranth I always think people who clean that much and can't have a single thing out of place have sad lives. To never be able to just relax about it would be awful.

amaranth People are so rude. They should definitely never come to my house because I can guarantee my house is 100000x worse! krystee I agree, I just can't imagine cleaning so much and getting so worked up about having everything perfect! I can't imagine how they clean up after a kid. They must clean 24/7 and never do anything else!

Today is supposed to be a rest day. Instead, I spent the morning pulling weeds and trimming back ivy, and this afternoon cleaning and reorganizing my office. lol.
I have two video conferences scheduled this week, so I'm stressing out about everyone actually seeing my office.

We're potty training over here! We started Fri night. We put underwear on him to see what would happen. Pooped in the first pair within like 5 min, lol. So we decided to go the no pants route. He had 3 accidents yesterday and 1 so far today. He hasn't pooped and I know he has to. He's asked for underwear, said his tummy hurts, and has tried to go hide so I just know he has to! I took tomorrow off and might try to run to the post office and/or grocery store tomorrow to see. Hopefully this sticks!
We celebrated my birthday early with family this weekend. I have so much anxiety when they went to leave. So hard. But it was good for the kids to play with cousins. They brought a cake and stuff.
amaranth those people are so rude!!! Who raised them to be that way??? I would have never in a million years thought something like that (much less said it) about an amazing Mom of two young kids.
SIL, BIL and 2 nieces just left. The little one pooped us out lol. We are both trying to not doze off. We had a fun day apple and pumpkin picking even if it was 80 degrees out.
We also went to Angry Orchard this afternoon. Our older niece, 12, was so excited to see the tree house that was built by TreeHouse Masters but we had to break it to her that you have to be 21 and buy tickets for the tour to go into it. She was so sad. She got to take pictures of the outside of it at least.

Yesterday DS had his first dance class and he lost it about 20 minutes in. It broke my heart. I was able to get him to go back in with me but I am not supposed to be in there. Hoping we have more success next week.
Today we went to church and then had lunch with our pastor. It was very nice. Now we are relaxing, watching football and getting ready for the week.
I had a long and tiring week last week because I had to work a few hours on my day off after having worked longer shifts 2 weeks ago so I need a better week.
amaranth eff them. Like really you are guests either be greatful or be quiet.
DH has been swamped with online training this weekend. His office is actually set up in our laundry room - which is open to the kitchen as we took off the door when we bought the house and never replaced it. It is impossible for him to get quiet time to work when the girls are awake. So the last two days I fed the girls breakfast then out the door and we have been over at my mom's house until dinner time. It's been nice spending so much time over there but I am so behind on things at my own house. Only tomorrow left to go then he should be done with training. Poor guys has been doing 12-13 hours a day trying to finish it.
@@ C took two steps today! Girl is so close to walking. My baby!

amaranth- unbelievable 🙁 You are an amazing mom and wife and I am sure your house is spectacular! You always go way above and beyond in all that you do!
bk1- ((hugs)). That must be so hard and draining. But way to go C!!
awick14- I hope you get to relax soon. ((Hugs)) friend
Today was exhausting and frustrating. DH drank too much and spent most of the day hungover. He even missed church which meant I had to take the boys by myself. C did great and I got called out because L was a mess 🙁 Both boys napped horribly. Finally went to get L and he napped for 30 min while nursing which never happens.
The good...church was still nice- glad I went! Took C to the park this morning and we all went this afternoon. And, the best is that C has been pooping well! The only problem is that he only does it in the PNP LOL

amaranth - I'm so sorry you had to deal with rude guests and a stressful week, especially with your DH being busy on top of it all. You are doing a great job.
wineandcheese - I'm always so jealous you live near Angry Orchard.
I've had the worst trouble sleeping lately. I wake up with pain in my hips, shoulders, back, etc. Our mattress is a nice memory foam and only maybe 6 years old, but I swear it's just not working for me anymore. I feel like I need something firmer. I'll be up for hours in the middle of the night debating whether I should take Bayer or not. Either that or I'm just getting old and/or workout too much.
wanderingenough - I'm having a similar issue, but I think our mattress might be too firm now. We've only had it for 3-4 years and it was perfect when we got it, but apparently something has changed and it's not working for me anymore.
