I saw 2 of the 3 center today. (The last one is at 10am tomorrow.)
The first place, the lady was super nice, DD liked her. Everything seemed good until I saw the second place.
The second place is run by a lady who used to run a YMCA daycare until they moved to be closer to family. So she opened up her our daycare at her house. There were 8 learning areas and one sleeping room. (Reading nook, craft area, music area, play kitchen area, paint room, outdoor garden, sandbox, outdoor playhouse.) Very center style set up, which is more what we want. The first place had some kids toys around the living room and a kid napping on a mat in the corner. But it didn't feel very kid friendly.
Urg I'm so bad at reading people sometimes. (At work no problem, but in my personal life, no happening.)
One more tomorrow. Then I'll be driving home, so tomorrow's update may be late again as well.

My neighbor invited me to play Bunco with all the other neighbors (and some of the original owners...my neighbor has lived here 30 years so the group is older). I ended up going after putting the boys to bed. Planned on staying for a few minutes and ended up getting home after 10p. Lots of fun and great to be out of the house! And the food and wine were all delicious!
DH is up super early since he is going to work at 6 to leave early to drive to his parents. I basically started my day at 3:30 when I got up to feed L (who was also crying at 1:30). So thankful for coffee!
No plans today...should run an errand to get more ribbon for L's bday banners so I can finish those. Same neighbor is having little kids over for a play date (she used to watch them while their mom worked) so we will probably go over there this afternoon!
Busy week around here! DH started working on site. He's been working 11-12 hour days plus the 40 minutes it takes each way to get to and from work. He leaves before me and the girls are awake but he has made it home to see them (even just for a min) before bedtime which I'm very thankful for. He was on complete overtime yesterday and still work today and probably tomorrow. It's been a whirlwind getting use to these kind of hours again.
My gma is doing a little better each day. They really got her up and started walking yesterday. She was able to go a bit with a walker - correcting herself every few feet. The doctors are hoping she will be able to walk short distances and only need a wheelchair for long distances. Huge difference because she is a very independent, on the go kind of person. My mom doesn't know what comes next. I don't think my grandma will be able to live independently anymore but we are taking it one step at a time to find out.
@@@ C has been a mess with sleeping this week. Kid has been getting up more then usual at night and not napping. I hate teething. That along with me going back to solo parenting has been worn out. I'm pretty sure I'm only surviving this week because of the unnatural amount of coffee I've been drinking.
I have to say - I've been tired this week, things are overwhelming, and we have been on the go every single day but overall things are good. I'm so thankful my gma is doing as well as she is. I'm thankful me and the girls have been able to go see her as much as we have. My mom and MIL have been helping me which is great. I just feel like I have a lot to be thankful for right now.

((Hugs)) bk1. Great update overall but far from easy times for you right now. DH worked similar hours when he started this job and it was rough on everyone (for the first 4 months). Things have calmed down now and he only works a little overtime during normal days and 1-2 hours/day during month end week. I hope you guys have a better balance soon...but even if you don't, you will find your routine and adjust to it. Hang in there friend!

We knew going into it hours would be crazy. It's project based, time sensitive contract. It will be like this until end of year when the project wraps up. Hoping for a permanent position afterwards that will give him the normal 40 hour week. For now we are thankful for the OT just because it will help us save some money and get some things paid off so we don't have as much going out each month.
Why, in 2017, are there still companies that ask you to FAX something to them? Good grief.
Sorry. Lol. My work does this and people hate it (understandably). We have an email address but rarely give it out. I'm hoping they get with the program and either start adding more options to upload things online or to let us use the email more. You'd think working where I work they'd be on top of this but not so much. At least we're better than my mom's work that requires mailed in forms for the same thing I do.. Ha.

So I walked into work this morning and the lights were blinking on and off. Then just went out. If I had been 5 min earlier I would have been stuck on the elevator! It was out for like an hour and a half. It had been storming so I'm not sure if it was because of that or the road work they're doing a block away. H's work was also out of power and they were 10 min from sending him home to work (leaving me stranded) when it came back. Happy it came back but I wouldn't have minded getting sent home, lol.

I'd rather mail it in...I can send mail but I can't fax lol

We do provide that option! But it's not required. It's just slow and we're so behind and bound to certain time constraints that for what I do, it isn't super practical.
There was a shooting at a church minutes from where I take the kids to church. So freaking scary. I'm so terrified that churches are being targeted. I posted on our church Facebook group to see if they have a plan in place for this kind of thing.
