Hey everyone...sorry it's been forever since I posted, but life has been busy between the adoption of our son and trying to get into a routine (ummm...sleep? what's that?!). I have been working on a quilt for a friend for a few months now, and the blocks are finally all complete. However, I can't seem to get the placement of them right...all the combinations I've done seem off to me somehow.
Any suggestions?? This is the best placement that I've liked so far, but was wondering if it looks ok. Here's the quilt!
I think it looks good that way. If you are like me and like patterns and order, you could put the darkest or lightest 4 in the corners and work in from there, or do light to dark from one end to the other, alternate colors or tones, etc. I like the look of a more random seeming design like you have, I just can’t lay it out that way myself ;-) I need the order.

Thanks!!! I think I'm just over looking at it. I just want it done (so I can start something new, how horrible is that!). I'll get it put together and send it off to the long arm quilter's place, and then relax and call it FINISHED!!!

I like the look as is.
If you want to try something different, what about a light to dark spiral? Start with the lightest square where the sort of brightish yellow one is, then spiral around, ending with that dark blue in the upper left.
