C had his 3 year well check this morning. We went to breakfast first. It is so nice having one on one time with him. He is so sweet and his brother is always instigating him into trouble. He was in 75% for height and all healthy except his ear looked almost infected. He was so good for the doctor and she was so kind. Just a great way to start my morning
I’m looking forward to fall temperatures this weekend here!

Oh yeah and at breakfast (Waffle House) a guy from dh’s work took care of our ticket without us knowing! So I left the waitress, who was very nice and ohh/ahh over C’s cuteness, a large tip. I hope it made her day.

Mh is running a series of 3 races/runs this weekend: a 5k and 10k on Saturday and a 10mi on Sunday. He's then doing a 1mi run with W on Saturday as well. Should be interesting getting the kids to a few locations to watch! It's supposed to be pretty nice on Saturday but looks like rain Sunday.
B went to a local orchard for his first first trip today, he was so excited this morning!
On the way to the bus stop, another mom ran into the back of my car at a stop sign - no damage or anything, and she was on the way to the same bus stop too.
I had lunch with G today and while I'm sure it won't last into his teen years, seeing his face when he sees me is THE BEST THING EVER. Like he won the lottery. I love that little stinker.
The oddest thing happened while I was waiting in line for my lunch later. I kept getting a "You are banned from this forum" message. I kept thinking what the heck did I do?! All I do is talk about my kindergartener. Lol.
How are all of the sick ones feeling today Loco Coco @lindy laurack ? Hope everyone's feeling better for the weekend!
A is all better! I'm concerned about H though, he didn't have a fever this morning but he was acting very off for him and begged to go down for nap 30 minutes early. I'm going to take his temp again after nap. It was high last night but not super high or anything and then he slept awful all night.

There is a silent auction at Daniel’s school, most of the items have bids on them but there was a basket of toys that no one had bid on, valued $288, starting bid on $58, we need absolutely nothing in that basket but I felt bad so I bid. I really want someone to outbid me, lol.

I'm glad A is feeling better! I hope H isn't getting it too, fingers crossed he just needed a good nap.

Thanks for asking! Vivian slept 6:30-6:30 last night and it was awesome. She had her first dose of antibiotics so hopefully they're working fast. She's a lot better today!
I'm glad she's feeling better, and yay for good sleep!
I'm enjoying a glass of wine in bed with all 3 kids sleeping around me (DH has an away game tonight and won't be home till late so I let the big kids crash in our room). We have soccer games in the morning and not much else planned for the weekend.
Ugh H hates his medicine. We have wasted so much of it trying to mix it with stuff and forcing it down him only to have him spit it up. It’s currently mixed with two danimal smoothies and he won’t touch it :/ He’s also not really eating and has a really raspy voice, so idk if that’s normal.

Ugh, that’s the worst. Did you try it? Is it really bad? Alexander didn’t like his, it was kind if a bubblegum flavour but thick and chalky, it wasn’t great, but definitely could have been worse. I bribed him with skittles, but I doubt that would have worked a year ago at 2.5. Good luck!

It’s really really awful. I can’t even smell it without wanting to run away. So I don’t blame him but idk why they gave us this kind, usually we get amoxicillin, which he’s taken before fine, it’s keflax or something like that.

Oh that really sucks. Maybe the pharmacy can flavour it? I feel like that’s been recommended on here before.

It is flavored. It's crazy how awful it is, like I mixed it in a huge thing of chocolate pudding and he spit it out immediately.

Call the pedi and see if they can switch it, maybe? That sucks!
I'm considering doing that tomorrow. He got it from urgent care but I'm wondering if I call the pedi if they'll call something else in for me. Idk how we are going to get him to take it twice a day for 8 more days. He already runs away yelling noooo when I touch the bottle. We've wasted so much trying to get him to take it I think I'll have to get more at some point anyways.
Took H back. He still has strep so we switched to amoxicillin and now he has croup too. So he got a steroid treatment to try to help with that and I have some things to look for that could be serious. So I’m glad we went in again.
