Quick question. Currently I get a salary and a yearly bonus. When boss made offer, she said "your new salary will be xyz". Offer letter comes with new salary, but no mention of bonus. I left message with HR, but if bonus no longer exists, am I pushing it to try and get additional money to compensate?
Have you signed the offer letter yet? If not you have more leverage. Is the new salary more or less than the bonus+old salary? I don't think it ever hurts to negotiate, they won't pull your offer or anything and in all likelihood you'll get some sort of increase somewhere as they typically expect people to negotiate.

@pdx18, no, I have not. I won't sign anything until I'm 1000% comfortable and right now I'm not. So, the way the offer stands right now (base salary and no bonus) it's slightly more than 8% of an increase from current (salary plus bonus). I thought it was increased salary plus bonus so about a 13.5% raise, total.
bullygirl979, I think you should definitely negotiate for a higher salary or the bonus. No harm in asking, especially given that there are more responsibilities now.
bullygirl979 I think that puts you in a good position to negotiate, but given what you've said about the job situation I definitely would not turn it down if they don't give you the increase because I worry you could be left without a job.

@pdx18, no, I will definitely still accept it if they are adamant the offer is what it is. Truthfully, I started resigning myself to the fact last year that the bonus would eventually disappear given some shenanigans. I put my myself in to the mindset that it's not to be counted on and is a nice surprise if I get it.

Well then maybe try to negotiate for a straight increase in salary so you don't have the volatility of the bonus? I hope they give you what you deserve!
