At an outdoor concert at Mandalay Bay. Most of the reports right now are coming across Twitter, including video by attendees of when the shots first started.

Eta: CNN is live right now. I can't imagine the panic on the Strip right now.

I just got home from Vegas a few hours ago. I have friends still in Vegas. Police scanner has reported shots fired at NYNY and my friend who is staying there was outside the hotel when a huge crowd of people came running out. They are now holed up in another friends room at the Monte Carlo. I can't reach one of my friends who was heading out to the strip around 930 pm. We are still trying to figure out who stayed in town tonight; there were about 50 of us in Vegas for a concert last night and not everyone left today.

H came and woke me up to let me know.

We didn’t know it was down by Mandalay Bay, so I called my dad because he’d usually be at work down on the strip right now. He’s home. Everyone I know is safe. One friend was there and two of her friends were shot and were taken to the hospital.

They have a person of interest they want to question.

This is all so unreal.

How awful- my T&P are with those who lost loved ones & who have friends/family in the area.

i was just there last week for 3 days...I ran right by that venue on tuesday & thought it was a cool place and didn't know there was such a thing in vegas.

Is it owned by Mandalay bay or just across the street?

WTF is wrong with people/america?? i wonder if there is any significance to going to a country concert vs. say inside a casino or at a club in vegas?

Lombardo said police were hunting for a person of interest who he named as Marilou Danley, the suspect's roommate. He described her as an Asian female, about 4 foot 11 inches tall and weighing 111 pounds

He said officers were looking for a Hyundai Tucson and a Chrysler Pacifica, both with Nevada plates, which were registered to the dead suspect.

CBS said it was an active shooter on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay, shooting down onto an out door concert crowd. 50+ people dead – that is expected to rise. Hospital is possibly overwhelmed.
