Still really windy and the water is really rough. We haven't been out of the condo yet though. We lost power for a second a few different times but it came right back on.

Our last camping trip of the season was great but this am it rained so we came home a few hours earlier than anticipated. We unpacked everything--meaning EVERYTHING since it's the last one. Many hours of laundry await, and still need to clean it.

I loved having my green amazing cooler totes there when we got home.

Amen to the campers on this thread--it's work!! Phew! But I'll miss it when that cover goes on.

Got the camper cleaned yesterday. DH cleaned the bathroom while I did the rest of it.

campermom what do you guys eat when you camp? DH wants me to cook big fancy meals...pork loins, beer can chicken, BBQ chicken. I stopped at Costco and picked up some pre cooked stuff as I don't want to deal with the big mess or the extra work. He does very little "work" once we get set up. I feel like a maid when we camp.

Oh I do anything I can to make meals as easy as possible but I feel like we eat the same stuff all the time. My goal is to spend as much time in my chair as possible!

Usually on Friday nights we stop by subway on the way and eat after we get hooked up.

This time we had friends meet us at 6:30 Friday night for dinner there!! That was so hard. We had the Halloween decorations to set up too. But we did it. I did a lot of late night packing this week when we got home Friday, we unpacked the stuff from daycare and school and hitched up to head out by 5. .

We had pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches in the crockpot and Mac and cheese in another crockpot that I had left a note for my cleaning lady to please take out of the fridge and turn on at 2. The friend brought some other sides. I also use liners. Hell no to scrubbing that in a camper sink.

Saturday we had burgers and dogs. I had beans in the small crockpot (LOL I had 3 this weekend!) We had 3 families visit so everyone brought something but I had made a pasta salad earlier sat afternoon.

I'll do crockpot lasagna a lot, we've done ribs and chicken on the grill. I also like Foil Packets-ground beef w potatoes and onion and carrots, Cajun Foil Packets are so good. I've done a Foil packet that had chicken, broccoli, ranch dressing and stuffing and that was good.

I'm always looking for new ideas so if you've got em, share em!

We usually camp in the fall. For our upcoming trip, I will make soup ahead of time and bing it in my crockpot. Friday we usually order pizza. In the summer it is usually grilled burgers and dog or steak with very easy sides like baked potato and pizza again. I am on vacation, not working.

traveltheworld It takes me about an hour each, including cleaning time. The planning on those took longer because I found the Linus pattern online and used it to create the Sally one.

But crisis of repeating ideas averted, DS has agreed to an Octonauts theme, so probably Kwazi, pirate ship and some kind of "sea monster"

A friend of mine painted a pumpkin for DS with octonauts. It was suuuuper cute. Painting I could do, though. Carving would be much harder.
