XP favorite mascara

After years of NOT wearing mascara, I'd like to try it again. What would your recommendations be?

Backstory: Mascara didn't work with my contacts, now I have 20/20 Lasik vision.

Drug Store - L'Oreal Lash Paradise (though I will not rebuy because of their racist shenanigans)

This! I have tried many but this is my favorite. I like that I can build it up, it’s not too wet, and I like the stiffer brush.

Mascara has fantastic drugstore options. Maybelline full n soft is my favorite when you want some oomph but nothing too clumpy or spidery. Clinique high impact is my favorite dept store option for the same kind of look. I haven't used the CG lash blast or clump crusher in a while but remember liking those.

Drugstore: Maybelline full n soft waterproof. If they'd go cruelty free it would be my only fave!

High end: Too Faced Better Than Sex waterproof.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator. But you have to put it between your boobs while you do the rest of your makeup to let it warm up a little.

I know quite a few people here are trying to stay away from this brand but Loreal Lash Paradise is really amazing. My other two favorites which are still debatable brands are IT Super Hero and Tarte Camera Lights Lashes. My other go to brand is Clinique. Really have liked all the formulas.

I was completely underwhelmed with Benefit They're Real. I'm trying to finish up that tube because I got a sample of Roller Lash from Ulta that I'm going to try next.

I was first introduced to the mascara at a "favorite thing" party, and the lady gave this advice.  I tried it both ways, and I swear it made a difference!

I think I must be one of the few to HATE the L'Oreal Lash Paradise. I have hooded eyes and it ends up all over my face and then it comes off during the day under my eyes. I had high expectations and it was awful for me.

I do love No. 7 Dramatic Lash mascara and The Balm Tall, Dark & Handsome mascara.

I don't like the Lash Paradise either. It dried out so quickly. I would have to do 1 eye at a time, because if I did one coat on each eye, by the time I got back to the 2nd coat my lashes would be dry already. Then it would get clumpy and gross. I tossed it after using a dozen times, if that.

I hate it too. It dragged my lashes down and smudged all over. It's one of the worst mascaras I've used.

I haven't had problems with the Lash Paradise formula itself (surprising since it's a knockoff of TF BTS, the worst mascara I've ever used), but that brush gets really gunky really quick. I also wish it was blacker. I get why people love it, but it's only OK to me. I've always been underwhelmed by L'Oréal mascaras though. Cover Girl has the superior lineup.

I'm loving this as well. It gives great volume and doesn't flake off during the day. As much as I love to try different mascaras, I always seem to come back to Lancome!
