Frustrated

Julie and I moved here for my promotion at work. It was suppose to be 30day training period and then a certification which meant I would be promotEd right after. Well that was three months ago! And we had a touch base today and we are looking at another 30-60 days. :-( I'm also frustrated bc I'll be getting a nice raise with this that we have been counting on, bc rent is a lot more here than in Iowa. We are managing but it's tighter than we'd like it to be! And I explained this to my manager that it's important for various reasons and I've heard every excuse from we need you to develop more to wecant afford your promotion yet. I feel strung along, and Julie said to give it 6 months and then move on. I love my job but i'm tired of doing the work without the pay. :-)

I am sorry. That is so hard that you up and moved and haven't seen the results. I hope you get the promotion and raise you were expecting soon!

Did your offer letter state that after 30 days of training xyz (certificate, etc) would happen? Can you provide any paperwork showing they are not holding up their end of the deal? You might get the company to move along faster if you can.

Can you sit down with your boss and have a very frank and honest conversation? I took this job because of a-b-c, and I really love d-e-f about it. However I'm frustrated by g-h-i. Can you give me some guidance on how to resolve g-h-i?

True, this is why I am SO frustrated bc I have done ALL of those things. >:-(
