The first one we got was a really flat crib pillow from Ikea. That was somewhere after a year, I can't remember exactly. We've since "upgraded" to a cheapish regular pillow from Target, around the time we moved him to the twin bed.

I'm pretty sure I ordered a toddler pillow from Amazon. It's small enough to fit comfortably in his crib, but not too fluffy to scare me. He's never been super consistent about sleeping on it. Right now it stays at the end of the crib because he doesn't want to sleep with it or his blanket.

E sleeps on a cheap flat standard pillow now.
