Anyone have a cat with IBD?

my cat was just diagnosed with IBD. The vet recommended science diet prescription, but I'm not comfortable feeding that brand since we're grain free (currently feed Chicken Soup)

If you have a cat with IBD, what do you feed them?

Mine eats Wellness wet, mixed with a little additional water, and a probiotic supplement (Vetri-Mega).

I'll try and get vet tech over here. We cat has some gastro issues and we feed Natural Balance duck and potato.

I have a cat with FIC (feline interstitial cystitis; it's an inflammation of the bladder). Switching to raw has made all the difference in the world. We buy premade frozen raw at the pet store down the street.

Long-time lurker here, as well.

In my case, changing foods doesn't work because my cat is too picky. I've almost lost him, as he will stop eating.

However, I agree with previous posters that finding the right food can be the key for your cat, and if you can get it under control, it is a disease that your cat can live with.
