My cleaning lady is back today. She was gone for a whole month because she got married last month. I am so freaking excited to have her back, lol (seriously - I sent her a "Welcome back! We can't wait to see you!" message last week).
Anyone with fun weekend plans?
M and I are doing our annual pumpkin patch trip tomorrow (where we SAY we're going to go pick apples and pumpkins straight out of the fields, and then usually decide when we arrive to just buy them already-picked from the market and consume a bunch of cider and whatever else they're selling)
I found a local horse that might be a good fit, so I'm currently coordinating a time with his seller to go take a ride this weekend. Big surprise, right? My trainer yesterday was trying to tell me I just needed to have patience, and I was all "Have you ever met me? I have no patience".
We leave tomorrow AM for our trip. Yay! Buddy and I will pick A up tomorrow morning and then we'll be stopping at a winery to visit a friend of mine on the way to our cabin for some wine tasting and a picnic lunch. Then onto our destination.
I am at work until 6 today, then I will probably get dinner and a drink.
Tomorrow I work for four hours tomorrow morning, then I am getting together with a couple friends and going to a citywide art exhibition. Not sure about Sunday yet.
HOORAY for Friday!! I'm in a training all day today, which should be good. Even though it's on campus, I'm treating it like a day away.
I went to dance last night and it was hard but really good. At a certain point in each class my brain seemed to be like "nope, done" but I still was there and did 2 classes back to back!
As for this weekend, it should be fun. Tonight I'm going to see a local hockey team play with some friends. Tomorrow I have a date during the day and a housewarming party in the evening. Sunday I'm getting a manicure. It'll be nice to have something other than red gel nails.
My date is with a guy I met at the bar last Saturday when we went out after my friend's wedding. He seemed nice then and I'm looking forward to seeing him again.

Sounds like everyone has good weekend plans! We're going to a friend's party on Saturday night (where we'll celebrate all the October birthdays!). A local winery posted that a stray Siamese cat that they found had kittens, and they're trying to adopt out the kittens, so DH and I might go take a look. He loves Siamese cats, since he had one growing up. The kittens are really cute, but I'm not sure I want to deal with litter box training and keeping the kitten from scratching everything. Our current cat, Jack, is pretty good about that (except for the living room carpet, which needs to be replaced anyway). He's also super friendly (he acts more like a dog than a cat), and getting another cat might teach him how to be a "real" (aka standoffish) cat!
TGIF! I wish I didn't have so much to get done today but at least it's Friday.
I have no plans tonight. I have some stuff on my DVR to catch up on so I'll do that and go to bed early.
Tomorrow I'm getting a massage and a manicure during the day. Tomorrow night I'm attending a breast cancer fundraiser that should be REALLY fun. There's a silent auction and some of the items are amazing. I'll definitely be bidding on more than one item. I'm using it as an excuse to get a bit dressed up too. I have a little black dress that I haven't worn in ages that I'm excited to drag out of the closet.
Sounds like everyone has some fun weekend plans. H and I will be seeing our sponsored family tomorrow. It's their youngest daughter's birthday! She's turning 15. We're going to have a lunch together and probably some cake. I know that she also wanted to try some tennis after that, but it looks like it's going to be pouring rain. We might have to try for that on another day. Either way, it will be a fun afternoon.
On Saturday night, our local movie theater is doing a 30th anniversary screening of The Princess Bride. So I'm hoping to go to that too. We will see.
No plans Sunday, but I will probably end up just getting random shit done around the house (cleaning, laundry, whatever.)
gault, I am so happy for you! Congrats on the job offer!
gault the guy from work was sick, turns out it was strep, so we haven't hung out in a while. He was eating fast food instead of soup! It too him a few days to take that advice. That and a couple other things and I'm a little more lukewarm about him right now. He seems very sweet but I'm not sure about long-term. I'm the more adventurous eater, and I'm still pretty picky. I'm still giving him a chance when we can coordinate schedules.
Also, congratulations again!! I hope they respond well to your counteroffer!

Yeah! Thank goodness it's Friday!!! Once of my clients let go of me which kind of suck. But that's okay. I believe that I would have better opportunities in the future. Hopefully there's a high tide this weekend so we can go whale shark watching. Happy weekend everyone!
