Has anyone stayed at paradise pier? I'm looking for March spring break. The fireworks from the pool deck are one of the main reasons I don't think my kids will make it to fireworks

Are you going to leave them in the room to go up to the fireworks?
I am not crazy about the theming but I know plenty of people have stayed & liked it a lot.
When we went we did one night at a good neighbor hotel (Sheraton) and a few nights renting DVC at the grand Californian.
We usually watch the fireworks one night but we do an afternoon break/nap, put the kids in the stroller for the fireworks & if they fall asleep, they fall asleep.
We stayed there several years ago and liked it. It was an easy walk to the Californian and the Downtown Disney, the monorail or California Adventure. We watched the fireworks from Storybook land so I can't speak about the deck. We would stay there again.

I've stayed there a few times; most recently was this past April.
You cannot see fireworks or world of color from the pp pool deck. It is located behind the hotel on the 3rd floor. You can see fireworks and woc from the rooms that face DCA.

Either my husband will stay in room or we will all go just since it's easier than being in the park late I hope to go watch one night but I'm not sure how they'll be and they usually are scared of fireworks but I love them

That's really good to know! They said you could online

Haven't been, but we are planning on staying at the Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance. You can book rooms (with bunk beds!) that have fireworks views.

What they fail to mention online is that you can see parts of the fireworks show from almost anywhere on property but it will be a very limited/obstructed view. You will only be able to see the high up fireworks; the lower ones will be blocked by trees and buildings and you will miss all of the castle projections. One of the best places outside of the park to watch the fireworks is from the top level of the Mickey and Friends parking structure.
The current fireworks shows needs to be viewed from main street if you have never seen it before. They took the 50th anniversary fireworks and enhanced it and all the extra stuff is pretty cool.
If you plan on doing one of the Fantasmic dinner packages you will want the early show. They let you stay in the area after Fantasmic to watch the fireworks and they use the water screens from the show for the castle projections.

I'm not sure if my kids would be into it. It's our first trip and I have no clue how it's going to go
We paid for a Theme Park View and got a room on the 15th floor of PP. The view was wonderful. The first night we were there we arrived on a red eye from Hawaii, and were too tired to do a late night at the parks. We were able to watch World of Color from our room. The room had a fabulous view.
