Self care was still rather minimal last week, as it will be again this week. LO and I slept in a bit the other morning which was much needed with our bugs we have been fighting. Making some birthday decor forced spending time on hobbies, as will working on his Halloween costume this week.
Last week: I managed to exercise twice on the treadmill.
Diet was a bit better.
DS and I went to the planetarium on Saturday because they had a re-grand opening for renovations and remodeling. They even had new shows for the planetarium even though the shows were a little more than a decade old. Before and after they had free science kid activities and we had fun. We made a satellite, a kaleidoscope, a small catapult and an art work with a tiny light bulb. There was bubble fun with making huge bubbles and one where you can be inside a big bubble. We bought DS an "Earth" marble from the museum gift shop.
Afterwards, we went to eat pizza for lunch and had ice cream.
I did try to spray paint DS's costume part and that was a fail because paint was going everywhere. I later painted it by hand even though it took longer and it looks good.
I did end up finishing Parks and Recreation and am looking for other things to watch on Netflix.
This week: I plan to walk on the treadmill at least twice this week.
Diet will continue.
I am on the second part of the costume and have yet to construct and paint. I hope the spray painting works this time.
DS wants to take our cat to Petco this coming Saturday. I suppose we can dress our cat up in his birthday R2-D2 sweater to show the cat off.

I'm on day 8 of antibiotics. Last week was just about getting DS to school and picking him up, dinner and bedtime. Pretty much spent the rest of my time sleeping and letting my lungs work themselves out.
Tomorrow is my first day back at work. I'm still coughing a lot, but I'm definitely in better shape than I was a week ago.
Thanking my lucky stars that the rigors of kindergarten has DS falling asleep earlier than he used to.
My self-care has mostly been elimination. I turned down a couple of projects that I had thought about helping out with that would have taken time away from family time, which I hope helps out with DS's problems, too. I really wasn't feeling well yesterday and took a sick day for the first time. I hated doing it, but I'm glad I did.
This week, I'm just taking it day-by-day. We're suppose to do some Halloween stuff later this week and my sister's coming in town.
mamaturtle, I am pretty crafty in a wide variety of mediums, but I can NOT spray paint for anything. I always end up with a mess and/or poor finish even though I "know" the tricks. Hope your second part worked out with the spray paint.
