Monday celebrations and vents

Stopping by to say hello! Getting settled at the new job has been busy. I've also stopped pumping, and that was my usual posting time.

Celebration: I'm loving the new company. It is 180 degrees a different (better) culture than my old company.

Vent: DS2 is sick with a bad cold and fever. We had a big family 1st birthday party for him yesterday, and he was miserable the whole time. My parents babysat him today, but I was stressing over not being able to stay home, worrying about how many days he'll be sick, and being annoyed that DH doesn't bat an eye. It was a very monday, Monday. DS2 was up a bunch during the night and because of the party I hadn't prepped for work. I threw on an unvetted outfit for work this morning and ended up hating it and feeling frumpy and self concious all day (blouse a little too tight and gapping at the bust, sweater that didn't really go with the blouse).

Oh I saw that post but hadn't seen your response! We want to go before my youngest is 4, because we will save so much compared to paying for him to be included. He will be separated from the older kids but I think there will be plenty to keep him busy.

Have you seen the Youtubes? I cannot wait. I'm going to take acrobat lessons and the kids are going to learn archery.....it's going to be the best! We are going with another family who we went to Disney with.

I haven't been on a plane since before my oldest was born. It's been almost 10 years.

I'm not sure where twinmomma is staying but I can't wait to hear all about it.

I'm not at Club Med. Too pricey for the large group I'm planning for. I'm at Secrets. The food sucks and the whole place feels run down.

It's done and over with. It went really well. Like so well I'm nervous. It started to get heated when he was asking what happens if he writes new business and I asked him why he would even try to write new business. Then at one point I implied that he was old lol. Not the best thing I've ever done but it's also true.

We presented him with 2 really good offers and he's going to let us know, which is the part that's making me nervous. Last time we gave him 2 options he came back with a 3rd and thats when the arguing started.

But, it was a really good talk and he was very understanding. Hopefully it stays this way.

Celebration: my coworker is back at work today! She's looking on the skinny side but is overall in really good spirits. I can't say enough how happy I am that she's back, even if it's only for part-time alternating weeks. The work side means nothing to me, I'm just glad that she's feeling well enough to be here. She has two more rounds of chemo and then the path after that is unclear.

k3am I hope the appointment goes smooth and results show it's nothing. You definitely need a break.

On a side note, your DS is almost 18 months?! Time flies.

erinshelley21, glad to hear the discussion went better than you expected! If he calls back with a 3rd option, just tell him the only options available are the two you presented.

saraml13, hope your DS is starting to feel better. That is stressful to have a sick kiddo with a new job and all the activities you had going on over the weekend.

You are.  I'm sorry.  Hopefully he just has a big head and is the "someone has to be in the 100%".

He's finally back to DC today. Turns out he had an ear infection and a couple days of antibiotics have done wonders. Fortunately, the grandparents were able to cover, but I feel like I've used up our supply of favors for awhile.
