Ridiculous. As the mother of the child bullied said, she was doing what she was supposed to be doing, while these simpletons were harassing her daughter.
I wish students would leave fellow students alone about natural hair, and in general, schools would stop trying to dictate what hairstyles are appropriate when it comes to natural hair. It grows out of our hair that way, and students don't have to tame it for anyone or anything. I promise you, board members and schools who write ridiculous rules re hair, it is not distracting and taking away from education. Present foolishness of these girls excluded. They're just being bullies.
Well apparently a girl in DD's Pre-K class told her her hair wasn't as pretty as hers and some other nonsense. This is the first time DD hasn't been in an all black school and already someone is talking about her hair. It is so frustrating because 1. DD's hair is amazing and 2. We have worked so hard to instill that message in her but TV and kids tell her otherwise.

RAGE. I am so pissed. Itβs like we work so hard and messages like that can undo so many positive words. Keep up what you are doing Momma π
