I'm tired still, but this morning it feels like it's more body than brain tired, which is a nice change. Luckily it shouldn't be too long a day at work, but then we have a parent support group in the evening, so I'll be at work until 6:30 or 7 tonight.
I am freezing - it's 62* in the house. Brrr! But it's going to be 70 later today, so it seems silly to kick on the furnace for the first time of the year just for a chilly morning.
M stayed home from work today and I am annoyed. He claims he doesn't feel good, but this has not stopped him from hopping on his computer to play games. Either take care of the barking dogs or go to work and leave me to my typically peaceful work day. But I am generally irritable this week (I'm blaming work stress + horse withdraw), so I'm not sure if I'm crankier about this than I should be.
I slept SO well last night. I went to bed around 11pm and only woke up once at 5am (and that was just cause I had to pee) but then went right back to sleep. I'm in Florida for a meeting later today but I've got about 5 hours until said meeting which means I'm going to squeeze in time for a walk on the beach. It's cloudy out there but it's still the beach
I have a customer who is really annoying me. We have a contract we need to discuss and I keep giving him times when I can talk to him. He'll wait until the day following the block of times I've given him and then send me an email with high importance requesting a time to talk. So for example, on Thursday I gave him times that I was available on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Today he sends me an urgent email asking a question and saying, "and we need to find time to discuss business terms of the contract". Dude, I've suggested times I can meet. This has happened THREE times. He's a really nice guy every time I do talk to him but WTF. He's a Procurement guy...chalupa, is this some kind of procurement negotiation tactic I haven't heard of?!?!
chalupa that would irritate me too. If you're home "sick" don't add to my day! Unless it's bringing you soup at lunch and making sure you have tissues. That's it. If you're well enough to play video games on the computer, go be productive! Maybe it's a holdover from when we were little? I know my parents would do the "if you're feeling well enough to be out of bed, you're well enough to go to school" thing.

Nope, just a shitty time management technique
When I need to talk to a vendor, it's never to tell them they're doing a good job. I just dial them up and dump the news that they're falling down on their SLAs and I expect a credit on their service fees. What's the point of waiting? SaveSave
tiramisu that was the rule in my house, too. When I'm sick, I'm either sleeping or sitting in front of the TV watching something that doesn't require too much brainpower.
And my mother just emailed me a link about "NIH study PROVES cellphones cause breast cancer". She wants me to put my phone in airplane mode if I'm not using it and unplug our router at night. My irritation level is rising again.

tiramisu, we had the same rule! My sister and I were rarely tempted to play hooky because of it! Yay for sleeping well, kaneen!
DH annoyed me this morning. I need to take my car in for a state inspection and to get the convertible top looked at on Friday, and he was all "but we need to clean the house!" Which, we do. But last weekend, when I was at work on Friday, he was messaging me the whole day that he was feeling lazy and not getting anything done (he normally does housework on Fridays...I help when I'm home). That's fine, we all have lazy days. But don't get bitchy with me about needing to run errands on one of my two Fridays a month off because you wanted my help cleaning because you did nothing last weekend. I will help clean when I'm done at the dealership. It was also morning, and I'm not pleasant to talk to before 10 am, so I may be overreacting.

We always perform better than our SLAs so I don't have to worry about that, thank goodness! I honestly think this guy doesn't know what he's doing. That or he just doesn't care.
