I'm having a hard time finding decent pants in stores... everything is ankle length which makes me look stumpy (I'm 5'8"), or cut for people with no hips (I'm curvy and carry my weight in my butt/hips/thighs). Curvy fits are available online only for Ann Taylor and Talbots, which is obnoxious. I'm a 10/12 depending on the store.
I guess I may need to bite the bullet and order a million pairs online and hope I can find something and then pay return shipping...
I have just been wearing skirts or dresses instead, but that season is nearly passed, so I need to go get some pants too. (So has my desire to shave daily LOL)

this is definitely what i normally do. But I'm in New England and in winter it gets too cold. Save
I've had luck with the curvy fit Merona brand from Target, but i think they have been discontinued. There was a post not too long ago about this- I think it was about Lane Bryant pants.

I don’t think the OP is big enough for their sizing though. They usually run 16+.

I'm similar and have had good luck at NY an Company and Maurices of all places. I've been ordering their pants online (maurices) and haven't had any issues.
We sound like a similar size. Loft or Ann Taylor. I thought they carried curvy in stores?! At least the outlet does. I am annoyed at Loft lately though, so many ankle pants, even in jeans. I hate cold ankles, give me back my bootcut!

I'm shorter than you, but curvy and a 12 and I love these pants. they are forgiving in the hips and thighs. And since c-section #2, I can't wear most zipper pants as I have so much scar tissue and the zipper rubbing on that area is so uncomfortable. So the pull on waist is super nice.

I think I'm in an area that leans more casual so stores don't carry a large selection of business/business formal clothing in the store. My Loft had NO slacks or suit jackets, and Ann Taylor had only one style of pants.
I hate ankle pants. But I also hate 95% of what is "fashionable" right now. Flared sleeves? Shoulder cutouts? Ruffles galore? No thank you. Save
