I've probably spent close to 10 hours laying almost 60 s.f. of tile for my backsplash...and I'm short TWO LISTELLOS!! ARGH!!!!
I'm THIS CLOSE to being finished and then I can consider this project DONE (for me anyway since H will for the sealing and grouting)
So annoyed. I was scared to order more than I needed because I can't return them and they're not cheap...now I'll have to order two more and then wait 10 days for them to come in. In the meantime, I'm trying to get all this stuff done for DSs party tomorrow and it's chaos in my kitchen with tiling junk on my counters and outlets that are taped up. Today I have to put plastic over everything because I need to bake and make icing and nothing is sealed or grouted yet. {shakes fists in rage}
If it's not grouted yet, then why do you have to put plastic over it?? It's tile....if you get flour or icing on it, just wipe it away with a cloth. No need to cover with plastic. If there was unsealed grout, maybe, but..
It looks pretty at least!!! Stick something big in the corner that's unfinished for the party
There is no reason to be angry about it. If you ran out you ran out. Happens all the time. I never heard of a renovation project that didn't have delays from waiting for materials to come in. It's just a backsplash not like having to deal with no running water or no electricity because of a delay.
On a positive note that backsplash is gorgeous! Love it!

{sigh} I know...I'm just one of those people that's as impatient as a 3-year-old ;D and I just want it done so I can move on. (don't forget that my desire for immediate gratification is what led me to move a bookcase on my own and throw out my back...too impatient to wait for H to help )
Oh well. Nothing to do but wait. Stupid things won't be in until next Friday, so H will be happy. I can put down the whip and he can catch a break for a week...He's pretty much done with the project too after he broke 6 tiles trying to get one to fit around the edge of a cabinet last night ;D
