We got 5 trick or treaters at the new house. 5. I think we just didn't know the "system" though - it seems most people dragged a fire pit and camp chairs out to the edge of their driveway and did candy handouts from their warm-ish spot. It was freaking cold though and I was happily inside, waiting to hand out candy. We'd get over 100 at our old house, so this was a big change.
I had a weird night last night. Normal taco tuesday, but one of ex-H's good friends was at the restaurant and basically cornered me about A's house and asked where it was located (I've had minimal contact with this person since my marriage ended). I'm assuming a mutual friend that still works with this person told him, which I feel upset about that my business is still being spread possibly even to ex-H. The mutual friend really isn't someone I wanted to cut off though, but now I am considering it.
My good friends who kept saying they were going to come to my race this weekend, basically told me after I asked last night where the the place they were staying was located that they weren't coming without any explanation. This had been planned for weeks. I hadn't asked them to come, they insisted they come to support me so then I thought that was nice and got my hopes up and now I feel disappointed and confused.
I got home and saw everyone's children posted on FB in their cute Halloween costumes and coupled with everything else above (and the the stress of the race and move) just had a melt down and started crying. Ugh.

P's XW texted him last night with a sappy text about how she heard we got engaged and how happy she is for us.
Work is getting super busy and I'm really thankful I started C25K again as it helps with stress relief. I decided that to celebrate my 5 years cancer free (which is in April) I'm going to run the half marathon and fundraise for a cancer organization.

What a great idea. Stress and anxiety relief is the number one reason why I run.
I think I am in a sugar coma from last night. One of the kids that was with us doesn't like peanut butter and I love it, so she gave me all of her peanut butter cups. You would think I am old enough to know when to stop eating them.

So I started this "team" (consisting of me, P and one of my BFFs) and we did the 50 mile breast cancer charity ride a few years back. I'm resurrecting the team and I've convinced both of them to do it with me!
I was supposed to go to Florida for a customer/prospect event this morning. I woke up to water leaking in my bathroom so I couldn't leave. It's not a huge deal since it was just a marketing event and not a selling meeting. I still feel awful about it though I'm also kinda glad because I was going to have to fly back at 6am tomorrow morning and I was NOT looking forward to that.
I went to pass out candy with some friends last night. We got a ton of trick or treaters and actually had to make a run to the store for more candy. We did the fire pit and sit in the driveway thing chalupa. I live in the south though so it really wasn't that cold. It was a lot of fun. I wanted to stay longer than I did but came home to get a good night sleep thinking I'd be traveling today. Oh well.
doglove I wish I was within cheering distance for your race this weekend I'm with mags - file this away next time you consider who does or does not act like a true friend.

A lot of the houses we visited last night had the bonfire going and people around it in their chairs. Mind you it was 30 degrees last night and we stopped at a lot of the fires to warm our hands.
