A ordered a truck for tomorrow and did a bunch of packing last night so I have all my fingers and toes crossed that he and his dad will make a lot of progress tonight and tomorrow. I'm a little nervous to meet his dad and stepmother!
I started moving my crap to the house, I just take a car load on my way to work/on my lunch hour. I thought Buddy would be so stressed out, but it seems to be London who is worse. Poor guy.
I'm only 3 days away from my half, I am going to be celebrating tears of joy when this race is over. My body is tired and I think this really will be my last one (I know I say this every time) because I can't take the brutal training and exhaustion from these things. I'm getting to be too old for this!
Hopefully all my floors will be done by tomorrow so Sat will be spent cleaning and moving furniture back. Sunday Ill be working all day. Sounds fun huh?

I'm WAY ready for the weekend. This week has been super stressful as I'm heading up several big projects at work and they are all due soon. Considering they are all going to my boss, I want them to be GOOD.
I will say, two cool things happened at work this week: 1) I got a cookie delivery from my boss and peers for a "congrats on your engagement" gift 2) my boss had a call with my client, her boss and other VP last week and she passed on to me that the client was very complimentary towards me.
I talked with the probation officer handling the sentencing for the case against the woman who hit me. I finally got more details about the plea and about just how under the influence the woman was. I'm livid that the plea includes dismissing the charge of DUI causing bodily injury. No wonder I've been treated like I don't matter!! Jerks. The plea is also asking for alternatives to jail. I expressed my displeasure to the PO and will make sure it's in my victim impact statement.
doglove good luck with your moving! I'm sure it will go well. I also am sorry your "friends" are jerks who are flaking for no good reason.
Our day started off with the corgi picking a fight with a freaking raccoon in the backyard. Given that Mr-rock-eater goes outdoors in a muzzle, you can guess how well that turned out. Then the dog went to the vet, where we got antibiotics, prednisone, and a "just in case' rabies booster, then I already had a half day planned to go look at some horses, which was a total waste - the horses were completely misrepresented and overpriced. Blah.
Thanks ladies. The PO was good, she isn't the one asking for alternatives to jail. She told me the woman's BAC and gave me info on the plea. She's been the most helpful so far!

((tiramisu)) I'm glad the PO was helpful. doglove, A's parents will love you, for sure! Hope your day improves, chalupa!
I have tomorrow off (yay!), so DH and I will be running some errands together and maybe doing some wine or beer tasting afterwards. I do have a lot to finish up today, though, so it may be a late night for me tonight. Boo.
I had such good intentions to get a lot done at work today, but unfortunately meetings happened instead. On a positive note I did figure out how to configure a few things on our system for open enrollment. Definitely good since it starts Sunday.
I wish I could stay home with my dogs tonight and catch up on work, but I have to report to my PT job instead. Getting the hang of 2 jobs is taking a little longer than I thought it would.
Good luck with your half doglove. Yay for being unsupervised cuddlyevil.
Had a first date tonight. It was my first date since spring. It was really good and he was cute! He drove about 3 hours round trip for a 2 hour drink date. The time flew by! I'm cautiously optimistic.
