This is my first attempt to dress the post-baby body. We have 2 weddings to go to next month, about 2-2.5 months postpartum. I have only a vague idea of what my size is, or what will flatter this more-boobalicious body. (It's also safe to say I'm still carrying a fair amount of baby weight, but I'm not actively trying to lose it yet).
I'm usually very picky, and can easily waste several days trolling stores in search of the perfect dress (and I usually succeed -- so it's a time suck, but a productive time suck).
But I can't really do that right now, so I ordered 7 different dresses, some in 2 different sizes, from Nordstrom. I know I can return the unwanted ones to the store, and can also get alterations done there.
But I'm going to be really bummed if I hate them all on me. And, depending on how brave I am, I may be back with pics looking for opinions
I bought 5 dresses for a wedding at 6 months pp. Thank god for Zappos' free return shipping. My breasts are apparently 2-3 sizes bigger than the rest of my body
I hope one of those dresses works for you. If they don't, I've had great experience with the JCrew bridal department over email, both when I was pregnant and post-baby. I emailed them my preferences (color, length, etc.) and then told them what was going on with my body and what I wanted to hide or emphasize and they came back with great recommendations. They were also awesome about telling me what size to order based on my pre-pregnancy size and what part of my body was bigger.
