Writing check in 11/6

How was everyone's weekend?

I'm getting worried. I know it's only Day 6, but I just have no time to write. Having a 6 month old baby and trying to get our house painted before family comes in Dec. is eating ALL of my time. I want to write, it's coming out when I sit down but I just can't find a moment. Even work is insane now, so I can't steal a few minutes to write here either. 

I might have to push my NaNo to January (when I try to edit), but keep writing bits and pieces until then when I can.

I was sick all weekend. But I burned through 4K words this morning and am almost caught up with 9,222 words.

fatamy I've had years like that. Sometimes you just don't have the time. The way I've tried to approach those years is, OK, I probably can't get 50K words done, but I'm at least going to write a little, even just 15 minutes, every single day. NaNo is more about making the commitment to do what you love than an actual word count.

That's what I think I'll end up doing, because I do LOVE nano and really like my plot/characters. Yesterday afternoon I had a total breakdown on DH -  between painting, the baby, working, adulting (laundry, cooking, cleaning), exercising, reading with DD1 20 mins/night and getting a bit of sleep... it's just impossible! And I racked my brain to remember how I did it with DD1 as a baby, and realized it was likely b/c she was breastfeeding a ton and I'd write while she ate 10 times a day! DD2 is all bottlefed at this point, so I lose my BF free time. 

Sorry, pity party over, lol. 

I just want to wriiiiiiite. I'm at 7,500 words, by the way.

fatamy 7500 words is barely even behind! Yesterday was only 8333, so that's not even one thousand behind. I thought you were going to say you were several days behind, not part of one. You are doing great!

Gato 4k in one morning is amazing! You've definitely got this!

I am ahead, even though I barely got anything written yesterday (less than 500 for sure). I got my word count in for today though and am feeling a bit better. My current problem is that my anxiety has been much more intense the last couple weeks than it has been in probably two or three years. I feel better now that I have written and it is a great distractor when I am writing, but my mind is a bit all over the place.
