Happy Thursday ladies! Does anyone else have tomorrow off for the holiday? How's everyone doing today?


I left my apartment early enough to check out a newish coffee shop in my neighborhood. The only weird thing is that they don't have milk and sugar out, you have to tell them what you want and they do it for you. But leaving early enough to do this was a big accomplishment for me!

I'm working tomorrow, although I might work from home. I tend to get more done there, anyway.

DH is currently signing the paperwork to buy a 1/4 share of a plane! He is very excited about it. It will definitely open more doors and make it easier to take weekend trips to places that would be a moderate (3-5 hours) drive, since they will now be more like a 1-2-hr flight. Apparently the other guys rarely fly it, so it shouldn't be a problem to use the plane whenever we'd like.

I'm off tomorrow, which is good. I lost my shit at work today over another department. It was so bad, I requested to talk to my boss urgently, which I rarely do. I was shaking, I was so angry. She agreed with me that it was an issue and told me to schedule a meeting with the VP of that department to talk to them.

As a result, I think I'm going to the pizzeria down the street for lunch.

I am not off tomorrow, even though it was a holiday for us last year. Damn federal reserve switching up their holiday schedule! ::humph::

udscoobychick that sounds awesome! A friend's dad bought a plane and I am insanely jealous of their weekend trips now. It's a whole different ballgame when you can just hop on a flight and skip all the traffic!

I'm feeling super fed up with work people at the moment. I swear everyone has turned into a whiny toddler who NEEEEEEDS me. And it's always urgent. I have one meeting tomorrow that I'm planning to reschedule, and then I want to block my day off and work in peace and quiet. Or "work". Whatever. I'm definitely disconnecting my phone. Nope, don't know why my phone is acting up, so sorry!

I have to work tomorrow but our volume should be low enough that we will be able to leave early or on time.

This week is going super fast, which I like.

Another “working tomorrow” checking in. We only get 6 holidays and this definitely isn’t one.

People are super needy right now. I would like to work elsewhere just so they can’t find me with questions.

Good news: I’m wearing floral pants. Yay for a pattern.

chalupa, it's a Cessna 172, so we're still a bit limited in distances (it would be a PITA and uncomfortable to sit in that thing for more than ~2 hrs), but it's still exciting! And I wholly support disconnecting your phone.

I am pissed at myself but I am more pissed at the police.

I left my car out in the street last night and received a parking ticket. (You cannot park on the streets between 2AM and 5AM here from Oct thru April.) I was in the wrong and I deserved the ticket but what pisses me off is that I live on a circle and the cops have to drive down two other streets to get to my street and those two streets are filled with cars on the street. I left this AM at 6:15 and not one car on those other two streets had a ticket, just me and one other car on my street. That is BS in my book. Why didn't everyone get a ticket?

Happy Thursday ladies! I'm stupid excited for Grey's and Scandal tonight. Not because either show is that good or that exciting right now but because it's rainy and cold here today so I plan to order Chinese food and curl up on the couch with TV, wine, and yummy food.

My random is that I really really like my new haircut but damn if the maintenance isn't going to kill me. It desperately needs to be cut again and was just cut like 5 weeks ago. I have an appointment tomorrow thank goodness!

So that new dating app I told you guys about seems to be a dud. I've been on for a month now and really nothing.
