I'm getting used to living with someone again - it's weird, but in a good way. I find it sweet that A gives us all (me and the dogs) kisses goodbye in the morning when he leaves for work.
I just sent out the email about my office's ladies' Christmas luncheon and cookie/craft exchange that we do every year, so I'm feeling festive.
I need to revamp my resume to focus on lab-work...my sister was sitting next to someone at a wedding this weekend who works for a biotech start-up in my town. She told him about me, and he said I should send my resume. I've been sitting at a computer for the past 6 years, so hopefully I can emphasize the 5 years of bench experience I got in undergrad/grad school.
I'm doing pretty well today, despite spilling coffee this morning. I'm updating everyone on how court went yesterday, including my insurance, and catching up on a billion emails at work.
Last night I went to a restaurant near my new place and sat at the bar for a drink. The bartender remembered me from Friday and I told him if I'm working to become a regular there, I obviously have to show up. So he refilled my prosecco glass twice without charging me for those. And zero negative effects today!
Just got back from a week away. We decided we needed a bit of a break and ended up going to Cape Cod. The weather was great (very cool at night, but that's to be expected.) It was awesome during the day though. We even managed to have a few lunches on patios, which I really enjoyed. We ended up staying in Falmouth, which I know is an area that doglove has visited and recommended to me in the past. We really loved it.
Yes! Did you go into Soft as a Grape margarita?? I was just looking online to see when registration begins for next summer's Falmouth Road Race. I'm going to enter the lottery to see if I get in, always wanted to run that race.
