DD turns 7 in 9 days so we have birthday celebrations first!
For her birthday she is definitely getting an American Girl doll (Tenney), the Hatchimals nursery set, the Hatchimals egg crate set, and books. She is probably getting the Our Generation ice cream truck as well. My MIL is getting her the OG stable and my mom is getting her a volleyball net.
For Christmas she is getting a science kit, a fingerling monkey, two board games (Quirkle and Ticket to Ride junior), a razor scooter, doll bed, and a fitness tracker/watch. Big ticket items I am considering but haven't decided on yet: Hatchimal twins, Barbie Dreamhouse, and the AG hotel. She has talked about the hotel since the day it was released but recently decided she wants a Barbie Dreamhouse. I am not sure she would play with it but she has moved on from the hotel to this. Not sure which she will get. She does not get Christmas gifts from anyone else.

Christmas from us: Dd1 - ski lesson, bike helmet, lcr game, skip it, puzzle and a book Dd2 - ballet lessons, bike helmet, activity book, and ? Dd3 - underwear and ... no idea. Like seriously I have nothing. Everyone is getting play doh, clay, hair bows, stickers and socks in their stockings.
DD 7 and is getting American Girl stuff for the most part. She has obsessed over getting the Girl of the Year from 2015 since she was the Girl of the year, but it was the year she got her first doll and at the time I didn't think she needed 2. HA! I got her on Ebay and my parents are good about getting stuff the kids want, so more of the same. She is obsessed with the hotel (is it AG, the hotel you are referring to abs?), but I want her to get one of those 6 foot doll houses to play with all of this stuff in. Not sure. She is also a new fan of The Descendants and would love Descendants stuff.
DS is 9 and harder to buy for. I am still mulling around the idea of taking him to a football game in December as part of his gift. He has been dying to go to an NFL game, but since our team is the Dolphins and we live in upstate NY, we will never be the home team. DH won't take him because Buffalo fans are mean? He is also getting some Legos. I also got him Harry Potter chess.
I have a lot to do! And a lot of $ to spend still!
I am nervous writing this in case somehow they see it! We have all four kid bdays between 12/10 and 1/23. I've found that I LOVE toy shopping and researching so I go kind of crazy this time of year and we go overboard a bit on Christmas. So anyway, here are some of the main things they want/main ideas I have.
1. They all really want an iPad and I have been trying to hold off as long as we can, but it's not out of line at all at this stage. Sometimes I think we're the last ones out there without a kid tablet of some sort. Still, really expensive, and I'm afraid if they get one for Christmas they will only care about that. So not sure if we will ask Santa for that or not.
2. They are all getting an electronic keyboard with piano feel. DD1 would like to take lessons soon but it's for all of them.
3. I have some books stashed away that I've been ordering here and there.
DD1 (about to turn 9): wants everything American Girl. Wants Addy, who is supposedly getting retired or whatever but now may still be available? I don't know. Also wants Tenney, but I don't want to get two b/c her bday is in Jan and I wonder if she will want the Girl of the Year when it comes out. Wants several other AG items. Likes some of the Target knock-off accessory sets. Also likes Playmobil and Lego. Sleeping bag. Wants a robot like the Meccano one but it sounds maybe too complex for her so I'm not sure about that. Earrings.
DS (turning 7 in Dec): Wants Legos and Playmobil, Star Wars stuff. Ticket to Ride Jr. Wants Melissa & Doug pasta set & Rock em Sock Em Robots. Maybe some Nerf guns but I hate them. Snow sled?
DD2 (turning 5): Wants Rebecca AG doll, big time. Getting a Wellie Wisher for her bday. Wants Wellie Wisher tent and sleeping bag. Playmobil Children's Hospital. Barbie dolphin diver boat set thingy and wants Barbie with puppies.
DD3 (turning 3): Obsessed with Disney princesses and "fancy shoes!"--glitter Mary Janes, princess dresses/PJs, Disney toddler princess dolls, Bath "mermaid princess" of some sort, anything princess themed. I'm thinking of converting her crib to a big girl bed and getting bedding for her 1/8 birthday. I love the PBK princess sheets but they are so expensive. Thinking of getting the pillowcases at least if not the whole set. Watching for good sales.
DS1 is 6. He is getting a lego boost and Polaroid type camera (+ lots of film) and an Osmo car game from Santa. From us he’s getting a few science kits, LEGO’s and a few board and card games. Also I’m working on a crochet blanket for him because he gave his baby blanket to his brother. I may also get him an anatomy body ...might be something I can suggest to my parents.
Ds2 is just 2 so doesn’t really know about Christmas gifts. He’s getting a remote controlled fire truck, play mobile ambulance and school bus, books. I just added an octonaut gup because he saw one at the pool the other day and got to play with it and he thought it was the greatest thing ever.
I’ve got everything in the basement and I think I’m forgetting some stuff but they are both getting more than I originally anticipated.
We have not settled permanently but I can list my rough ideas:
Both are getting Nintendo Switch and a couple games for sure. Possibly the new Beyblade stadium. Roller Blades, Patriots Jerseys, Science kits, Fitness watches, Cordless Headphones, Pokemon elite trainer boxes. They are so close enough in age that they want/like the same things. I will try to get indivisual things as well, so it is not all 2 of the same thing but it it tough.
@mama2b I thought I saw one in a learning express catalog a few weeks ago but I recycled it and a quick internet search doesn’t come up with it. Do you have a suggestion?

No, ha I was hoping you did. I will share if I find one. I like your idea though and think my almost 9yr old would love it.
I found it on Amazon. Search anatomy model kids. It’s $12 so not sure if it’s the one I originally wanted because I thought it was close $40....
