Gift idea: 8-9 year old boy

My nephew will be 9 in March. I am hit or miss on gifts for him. I got him an Osmo for Christmas last year and he doesn’t use it. I did a stop rocket for his birthday and he loves it. He’s pretty athletic, likes sports, also likes Star Wars. Ideas?

DS asked Santa for this last year but I think older kids would like it. It lights up and makes noise (but is not too loud or annoying). We try to stick to games and legos for this age. There’s a lot of good Star Wars LEGO sets.
