This is the frame of mind I am in, so we can keep this going a few days.
This year, I am most thankful for... 1. Health for my family. 2. A job that pays a decent salary, but is flexible enough to be the parent I need to be. Dhs job (however not flexible ) 3. Ability to be able to fulfill the Christmas wishes for my children. 4. My house is done, and my kids have a place to be proud of, not a mansion by a stretch, but proud we worked for it.
3. I want to say health, but since DS has had so many health issues and my MIL is having a pituitary tumor (non cancerous) removed in 2 weeks, I can're really. I don't think anything is life threatening though, so thankful that it is not more severe.
4.I am thankful we have better health insurance for DS now and no longer have high deductible insurance. We are still able to afford the payments for the many treatments that DS has needed throughout his life. We would either not be able to pay at all or have to be Medicaid, so I am thankful that we can mostly float the payments.
5. My job and boss are family friendly and flexible. DH's job is not nearly as flexible, so it helps that mine is because otherwise we would have to pay for a nanny.
6. I am thankful I can be there for my children.
7. We too have a house to be proud of. Sometimes the house annoys me, but sometimes I love it. In any case- the kids love it, and it keeps us warm and safe.
I'm thankful for 1. DD and that she is healthy and happy most of the time 2. For my dog for all the snuggles, kisses, and companionship and her knowing when mom needs it all. 3. My mom will be picking up a lot of DD chauffeuring over the next few busy tax season months 4. My Dad who is always there to listen
DD and I had this conversation Monday night as they were working on a what are you thankful for project at school.

1. My husband, who is the most loving man in the universe. 2. That my children are healthy and happy. 3. That we are in a position to help others through charitable giving. 4. That I have this bottle of wine. 5. Specific to this year, that I was able to negotiate the work schedule I want. It was a long time coming and I’m proud of myself and grateful for my manager’s support.
1. My happy, healthy, wonderful kids 2. My husband (mostly) 3. That I earn a great deal of money doing something I really love 4. My friends, who carry me when I need it and trust me to carry them when they need it 5. My MIL, who is an incredibly loving grandma 6. My kids’ school that takes such good care of them and is building a community for our whole family
