So this is my skincare regimen. Most things I have used for awhile. The 2 cleansers I have just started within the past week and my skin has a slight burning sensation all of a sudden, for the first hour or so after use. I suspect it is the new cleansers since they are the newest additions, but they are supposed to be gentle and get excellent reviews online. I've never thought of myself having sensitive skin. Do I have too much going on? Is there an interaction between ingredients here I don't realize? If these so-called gentle cleansers don't work for me, what can I use instead? Or is a slight discomfort normal where I should power through and get used to it? Thoughts?
Morning: KOSE SOFTYMO Speedy Cleansing Oil followed by Cosrx Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser TO Caffeine/EGCG around eyes TO Niacinamide on acne spots/hyperpigmentation TO Hyaluronic Acid TO Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate MIZON All In One Snail Repair Cream
Evening: Bioderma Sebium H2O Micellar Water to remove makeup Cleanse x2 - same as morning TO Alpha Arbutin + HA TO Azelaic Acid Suspension TO Caffeine/EGCG around eyes MIZON All In One Snail Repair Cream Etude House Moistfull Collagen Sleeping Pack
Sometimes I use TO Squalane if I am feeling extra dry, and 1-2x a week I use OTC Differin gel on my face - I stopped the moisturizer with retinol and SPF I was using a month or so ago. E/O week or so I do a sheet mask, but have not done one since I started either cleanser.

Is there a reason you oil cleanse in the morning? Personally, I would switch your oil cleanse to night, skip the bioderma, and only do one wash with face wash after the oil cleanser.

I do oil cleanse at night, and planned on doing it only then, with the low ph cleanser 2x/day. I do one wash with face wash after the oil cleanser. What I was saying is at night I use the same 2 cleansers - oil and low ph - as in the morning. The micellar water is in place of makeup remover since every make up remover I have tried in the past leaves terrible residue no matter the cleansing step after. Yet I find the oil cleanser doesn't work as well to get the makeup off without the pre-wash so to speak of micellar water. It's like if I skip it then oil cleanse once, it only works to get the makeup off my skin and then nothing else. I would basically have to oil cleanse to get the makeup off, and then again to get the benefits of oil cleansing for my actual skin, kwim? I used to use Garnier micellar water which worked better, honestly, but it is a L'Oreal product and I switched. Lately I have found, despite this pretty extensive (IMO) nighttime routine, I sometimes have a bit of mascara remaining in the morning and oil cleansing then helps to dissolve the last of it. Yesterday, after arriving home late from Thanksgiving, I had more than a little leftover this morning - but I had abbreviated my routine to get to bed that much faster - I looked like a damn raccoon. I use regular mascara too, not waterproof. FWIW, I am using disposable cotton pads with the micellar water, then a wash cloth with the 2 washes, changed out daily.
I would also suggest only using one cleanser in the morning. When I have some mascara around my eyes in the morning I just put a qtip in my Micellar water and use that to remove it quick. If it's not the cleansers irritating your skin I would suggest a better moisturizer for your AM routine. I've tried the Snail recovery cream and didn't find it all that moisturizing.
I agree about cutting down to one cleanser in the morning. Also, I'd stop using washcloths entirely. My derm told me once that they're too abrasive to use with my sensitive skin more than once a week, and if you're using two per face-washing session it might be what's causing the burning sensation.

Did you build up to using acids everyday? It sounds like you might have over exfoliated. I would cut the acids for now. I've also heard the cosrx cleanser isn't very gentle.
With the oil cleanser, I find if I let it sit for a minute then rub it around a bit more, especially for the eye makeup, that tends to remove everything.
You could try other gentle cleansers. I really like Paula's Choice ones and they have a new cleansing oil that I've tried and really liked so far.
I also think getting an oil cleanser that removes makeup better, to help reduce/eliminate running on your skin, and only oil cleansing once per day, at night.
If the burning only started after the addition of these cleansers, I would try changing just those first. It's possible to randomly develop a sensitivity, so you might have to try other things, but I'd start with dropping the most recent additions.

Do you use the Micellar water before you oil cleanse? Cause you should oil cleanse then use the Micellar water at night rather than also using another cleanser AND the micellar water. I wouldn't use a cleanser at all in the morning or use a quick swipe of micellar water. I would also only use the Azeliac Acid every other day versus every day. And right now, if your skin is burning, I wouldn't use it for a week or two.
My skin did this when I was using too many acids too often.
Be gentle with your skin in the morning. No need to double cleanse. You can just rinse with water and use a qtip dipped in micellar to remove any leftover makeup.
Take a week off from acids at night, and vit c during the day to let your skin heal. Add some extra moisturizers. Then do acid every other night.
Also vitc and niacinamide can interact and cause burning, and flushing. I've not had an issue before but some are sensitive to it. If you use them together immediate step wise, then you may also lose effectiveness of either.
