drloretta, I love my little owl. Thank you so much. He’s my favorite color and is happily at home on my new tree. I love the shape and size and it’s not mildewed. Sadly, I am having allergy issues with my fake tree as the smell fades. It is going outside as soon as we take it down in January. 😂 Thanks!
cmeon the ornaments arrived today intact. That box was solid, nice job. They are beautiful! We just went and cut our tree this morning, and I’m looking forward to adding these to our collection.

I AM SO GLAD (yes, YELLING!!!)- you don't know how nervous I was about those making it. The USPS people can be less than gentle.
Thanks for letting me know right away so I can breathe again! I loved making them and I'm really happy you like them, too!
Thanks to mrspez07 , I got the loveliest package in the mail! She not only made an absolutely gorgeous ornament, but she also sent two bars of ahhh-mazing local chocolate! I’m in heaven! Thank you, MrsPez!!!!

You are welcome. That photo makes it look even better! ;-) Did the chocolate arrive broken up or relatively intact?
The universe didn't want cmeon to get whatI made. I also sent local chocolate.
Duck not included.
OMG, these are so adorable, Captain Catnip ! I am going to keep holding onto hope- USPS is mysterious sometimes. We used to have a really nice mailman who was a really bad mailman- he delivered everyone's packages to the wrong homes. I got to know my neighbors up and down the street, on the street behind us- very well thanks to that dude. He retired, and the lady that replaced him is sooo much more accurate- but, you never know! Someone could show up one of these days with my adorable little knits!!
I am thankful the duck is safe.
I really hate that this didn't go the way it should have gone. I am so glad that you participated- and that you took pictures!!
So, for anyone who wasn't involved in our Elfster conversations- a big mail semi with a full USPS trailer was involved in an accident about an hour-2 away on I-75 in the early morning hours. It caught fire and everything is gone. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if this package was on that particular truck, and USPS isn't sharing any info about it (just check informed delivery!!!)- so, it's just a big mystery.
THANK you so much for making those for me- if they ever show up, I will scream for joy so loud that you'll all hear it (I'll let you know in more traditional ways right away, too- LOL). You did a *great* job, please come back again next year. We'll try to get you paired up with someone in a state where less weird things happen.
It turns out that my ornaments weren't burnt- they just took the long way! I have good word that they'll be in my hands soon, so I better get my tree up- LOL!
ETA: ONLY minor injuries in the accident, just FYI.
adhdfashion, my local MOMs group has a tree skirt wearing party in January. Last year DH suggested I hot glue an angel tree topper to a headband for an accessory. This year he has suggested your "earrings". So that's what I will do! Look for pictures next month!

Captain Catnip, LOOK WHAT'S HERE (AND NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT BURNT):
I did NOT have enough time to rush and put my tree up (hopefully tonight!), but, OMG, they are so tiny and cute and I must say, even more precious in person! I love them all so much!
I am not featuring a picture of the chocolates (LOL forever that you thought I'd share- cackle- but, we do have 4 of us, Capt)-
1. Because I already ate some. 2. Because they suffered a little in the journey (which does not affect taste in the slightest).
You are so lucky to have such yummy chocolate locally, thank you so much for sharing it with me (and I suppose the husband and children).
I loved the card (trust me, USPS "dropped" these way more than you did- hahaha) and this little face cracked me up!
What a journey they had- thank you so much for indulging my freakout and being a great swapper- I hope the experience didn't scare you away and you'll be back next year!
They all know. They've got radars for chocolate!! <3
I tried not to get nuts not knowing allergies but that is so difficult.
We aren't allergic to anything but (DH, maybe DS) cats (and they're only puffy eyed allergic to them). That was sweet, though, and you made perfectly yummy picks.
Yay! That's everyone, and a whole lot of beautiful ornaments! I'm so happy we did this, thank you shortcake2675 for noticing it wasn't happening on time and stepping in (it's NEVER not happened in GBCN's history), thank you for everyone that came back year after year and thank you for our fabulous newbies (who will hopefully be returning next year)! I would be so sad to see this tradition fall away, it's so fun to watch the pics roll in and I love pulling out the ornaments every year.

YAY!! Thank you all so much for participating! cmeon, thank you for your help. This is my favorite thing I do for me during the holiday season and I'm glad I took the initiative to organize, even if it was for selfish reasons. Thank you to the new folks for joining us, I hope you'll stick around and post more. And to the regulars, it's good to have you. Happy Holidays!
